OK. But you raised a question. I answered it.

Regardless why can't Arab nations pitch in more, why is this becoming Europe's problem? Not really the main point of this thread, but still wondering.
Because Muslims like Christians are separated into two major sects that sometimes can work with each other and other times fight each other. Right now, it's the latter, as the Saudis dislike the Iranians and vice versa as one example.

Essentially, religous civil war was being at held back by brutal dictators that we have toppled and now a huge power vacuum exists in the Middle East with all kinds being taken.

Europe is just a causality due to its proximity to the millions of people fleeing violence and/or destroyed homes.

Nonsense? It's one of the main factors in the violence in the Middle East.

your answer was something that I already understand. My comment was a little more wishful thinking I still think that a littl neighborly love should apply. I couldn't image us here in the USA standing by if Canada or Mexico were having these same kinds of issues and waiting for someone a whole region away to step up and contribute.

Doesn't mean the word isn't still applicable.

Arabs are not obligated to take in refugees from other nations just because the refugees are fellow Arabs.

Be reasonable here. The west destabilized the Arab world. Not peaceful Arab countries. You're holding them to a standard that no one else has ever been obligated to uphold.
Most of us 1st world countries DON'T want Arab Muslims either. Christian Arabs I'd be MUCH more likely to let in.

England and so on: Probably because they didn't want a bunch of possible troublemakers. I'm of Irish family and, we def had a VERY bad rep as late as the 20th Century. The "Jew" thing DOES bother me because Jews have many GOOD habits, not all are slimy creeps.

But shouldn't it also be a matter of perspective as Canada hasn't intervened regardless of the fact that the U.S. has "liberally" allowed perhaps over 20 million illegals to enter and thrive while they have committed more violent crime than any terrorist or ethnic minority?

Perhaps Europe doesn't see themselves as the victim you perceive them to be given their opportunity to look at what's been happening in the U.S. and comparing stats.

Just say'n.

Why is it that when we talk about controlling our borders here and controlling who comes in and out of the country segments of our society start to label us here as "xenophobic" but when those "better than us" people in Europe start to do it, the silence becomes deafening???

Denmark, a social welfare utopia, takes a nasty turn on refugees

Honestly I've never looked at Europe that way....
They have their own issues, lol
I'm still in shock at what that idiot running Germany has done.

So no- the whole world is screwed at this point, lol
I say have a shot or 3 & don't get too caught up in it
