Ah, yes, another "let them starve in the streets if they can't work" post ...

Nope. AT&T offers a smart phone plan for $40/month with includes several hundred minutes of talk, unlimited texts, and limited data. My smart phone cost me < $150/including tax. Wifi hotspots are everywhere BTW, from fast food restaurants to college campuses to the public library.

Even at $60/month with much more data, a smart phone is cheaper than a land-line/home internet.

I completely agree. I also think you can pretty much watch anything you want without cable these days. All you need is an internet connection.

And you're surprised by that statistic, why?

And yet half earn less than $30k?

Isn't this Obama economy wonderful until it comes to getting a second job?
So, the "typical" family earned $50k but most workers make < $30K and you can't figure out how that works? It's called two or more workers in the family, dude!

No problem... if anyone can be transgender, they can be transage, as well. Just sign up for SS and Medicare "claiming" that you "feel" like and "identify" as you're age 65+.

Wage growth for the majority of American workers has been stagnant for decades, even as they work longer hours and take less time off. But the cost of living has continued to rise.

I'm sure if you think real hard, you can put those two facts together and figure out why Americans can't thrive on one income any longer.

Yesp. Sure there are cheaper options, but on average smart-phone related costs are very high.
