I'm more of a moderate than liberal, but researching that famous quote, if that's truly how liberalism is defined it doesn't sound bad to me. I think both th liberal and conservative labels are starting to take on newer meanings and like all things is sorta becoming a bit skewed over the years.

True. A guy I work with denounces my libertarian political stance because he says people don't have an inherent right over themselves or bodies. You can guess how my discussion with him on abortion went. He couldn't help but contradict himself. But it made sense to him and only him.

I do all of the time and they for the most part result to name calling or telling me that I'm an uninformed voter for not supporting Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton.
