Except there were no apologies. Which kinda makes the rest of your point a bit silly. So I'm not arguing with your statement as much as mocking it.
There was plenty of war happening in Syria, Libanon and Yemen bedore the US got involved. (I know it smarts, but it can actually be considered a war before the US shows up.)
What President Obama actually did in Hiroshima was regretting the loss and pity of war. Not saying that waging war couldn't be necessary, much less apologizing.
What he did according to the scenarios in your mind, I cannot address.
