Actually, he's just stupid.

He even has to have a home teleprompter to talk to his own family. He has to use it to mention how great the dinner is, to talk to his kids about their schooling and allowance...ya know, normal stuff that all parents can talk about without having to use a teleprompter. He was even caught lip syncing a speech.

The only thing 'intellectual' about him is his speech writers.

Amazing what the media propaganda machine can accomplish when motivated.

So anyone who speaks in nebulous and interpretive terms to thwart clarity of position is an intellectual because no one knows what he is saying?

To assign obama a label of intellectual is to condemn him given he sat on his hands as christians were beheaded and crucified and no action was taken. He witnessed mass murder and was able to justify taking no action. He intellectualized a beheading of a US citizen so he could get back on the golf course 5 minutes later. This means Obama thought about these atrocities and drew an invisible red line in the sand. Essentially he declared you may kill thousands of people, just don't do it with chemical weapons or else I do nothing. Yep, you'd have to be an intellectual to rationalize that.

His claim that isis is the jv team and the world is a more tranquil place, are further proof obama is an intellectual.

the prisons are filled with criminals with high IQs....... Intelligence Quotion

'Intellectual' is a meaningless term without considering other qualifiers.

Don't know how anyone can argue Obama is stupidier than what the GOP has offered us the past 25 years. Give me liberal intellectualism over knee-jerk conservatism anyday.

Being an intellectual and sounding like one are two completely different things.

Just about everything you hear Obama say was written for him.

If you dems want to claim an intellectual for yourselves, try John F. Kennedy.

If you want to claim a Wiley E. Coyote for yourselves, try Lyndon Johnson.

If you want to claim a thoughtful person for yourselves, try Jimmy Carter.

And if you want to claim clever con artists for yourselves, try Hillary and his wife Bill.

Obama?

He's an affirmative action baby.

There is no there there with him.

He is nothing other than what you libs think about him -- the perfect mirror for your own perverse and misguided fantasies.

Define intellectual in practice.

Look at his biggest accomplishment --- Obamacare

He sold and defended Obamacare with lies not intellectual discourse.
-He lied about how his mother died to score political points for Obamacare.
-He lied about keeping doctors.
-He lied about keeping your plan.
-He lied about saving $2,500.
-He skirted around the fact that 31 Million non-elderly people will still be uninsured with Obamacare.
-He said it wasn't a tax and then had his administration argue it was a tax in front of the Supreme Court.
-He said he opposed penalties in 2008, then supported them after getting elected in 2009.

How did Obama win an intellectual argument with Obamacare...lies. Where is the intellectual side? Anyone can spout off lies like Obama. Unless we are defining "intellectual" as the ability to fool with lies, I see no significant intellectual tendencies.

Look, when Fast and Furious came out, what did Obama do? Did he offer an intellectual argument? No. He blamed it on Bush, which was a lie. Then he used executive privilege to shut down investigations into it after Holder got caught lying about it. Wow, it is so deeply intellectual to lie and point fingers at other easy targets than take accountability and defend your own actions.

Syria, he drew a red line and then when crossed, he lied and said the world drew it not him. So intellectual. What a great intellectual argument, lie and twist. When Obama tried to make the argument of attacking Syria he lied about the evidence, wow what a shocker.

This thread seemingly proves that Democrats are intellectual lightweights and partisan heavyweights, if these actions of Obama pass as worthy of some sort of "intellectual" moniker.
