I understand how yours works. Actually the offset/neutrality is pretty awesome.

However... For fairness, for all humans, to truly tax in an equitable way, everyone state/province/nation would need the same tax code.

People also like cleanish air. I can tell you don't travel abroad much and are spoiled by the progress made in America with pollution.

A carbon tax is levied against the energy companies who pass the cost down to consumers where it impacts the low-income most of all. And the politicians who skim the tax for themselves get rich.

Again, I'm a 'denier', in some eyes. However your system is beyond cool. But, sovereignty is also cool.

You are pretty sharp. I won't insult will sophomoric analogies. But would you grant that there can be 'healthy' skepticism on the agreed principle? Not the scientific theory, but a possible solution.

10 foot sea level rise. by 2050. or 2060.

Sea level rise will not happen in a big way before the ice shelves collapse in Antarctica. After that it is off to the races.

The major problem on that contention is the ice sheets named.. They are sea ice. Volume is static. It will require continental ice to 'slide off' for that to occur.
