Many of you know that I am a liberal on many issues, usually economic.
However, a recent effort in Jersey would coerce all guns to have chips that respond to finger prints or rings. Even the modified version of the law was vetoed by Christie. The danger of guns with disabling chips is that they can be disabled by EMP (electromagnetic pulse). Additional dangers are that such guns can be disabled by law. We can't give that capability to overzealous liberal majorities or some future American fuhrer.

this firearms owner would never have one put into my firearms, even if government said i had to.
What we really need is for the government to put chips into people. That way they can just "turn off" any troublemakers at the flip of a switch. Say one day you decide to think for yourself. That's trouble. Uncle Sam just pushes a button and voila! Instant lobotomy.
Plus this would require more tax money. And let's face it: life is no fun if you aren't being taxed & regulated to death.

great, let start with politicians, employees of the federal government, all foreigners coming into the USA, and all democrats/liberals.
Just offer them a free lobotomy, they will take anything that is free.
I would agree to just help paying for their coach class ticket out of the country. still waiting to see how many people will follow through with leaving the country when Donald gets elected.
