There have been many "innocent" white people shot and killed by white police.
FWIW black people also get upset and protest when black police are involved in the murdering of black citizens. Freddie Gray was in the custody of both black and white officers. Scott Walker's killer was covered up by a black officer (he received a LOT of vitriol on black talk radio, you all just don't see this in your media).
I personally remember a white teenager in GA being murdered by a white, female police officer when he answered the door of his trailer park. The officer shot him as soon as he opened the door because she said she thought he had a gun. He had a Wii remote control. She was not punished for killing this young man who wanted to join the military. It was very sad and sickening. No white people other than those at the trailer park where he lived seemed to be outraged about it. He was not a criminal. The officers were at his home to serve a warrant for his father, not him.
An innocent white guy is probably more likely to be killed by fire ants. Personally I watch the other guy in traffic and am going to concentrate on losing 25 pounds.
Before this gets too surreal. This discussion is taking place AFTER a second shooting in which the black driver calmly told the officer that he had a licensed weapon in his posession and was ordered to show proof, and was shot when he complied with that order. This has always been a possibility and no doubt has been the exact cause of the demise of many a black driver and possibly a few white drivers as well. The difference is that until now there was not a way of streaming that information in real time to the world. That black woman is alive today because the cop realized she was live streaming events to the world.
Much is being made of Alton Sterlings sterling character and how that might have led ... correction, Alton Sterlings less than sterling character is being used as justification for his murder by law enforcement. Oh boy, that sounds like Minority Report where psychics predict people behaving badly before the fact and the police roll out to dispatch them to the next life because they have cheated on their spouses or failed to return overdue library books or have a pornography addiction.
White America has been whitewashing and downplaying the tragic consequences of this bias for decades. Maybe its time for black people to wear bodycams for their own survival. Bodycams that live stream every moment of time spent outside of the relative safety of their dwellings or interior spaces. When the police know that their actions are being observed live and they can't just go and confiscate cell-phones and browbeat witnesses we may reduce the loss of life in the black community. Only 12 in every 100 Americans are black. We are hearing that twice as many whites are shot. Doesn't take a math whiz to see that this is nothing to be proud of as a law enforcement administrator.
It's funny, but this video is one of THE MOST DISTURBING videos I have ever witnessed and it CLEARLY proves that the driver was murdered in cold blood.
Thankfully, the driver was not fatally injured and the FORMER State Trooper plead guilty and faces up to 20 years in prison. THAT IS JUSTICE!
Let's assume for a moment that cops ARE more likely to shoot blacks than whites. Surely there are reasons for this. Which of these reasons is more likely:
1) Blacks have darker skin. This dark skin makes cops want to shoot them.
2) The black demographic group has a history of behavior that leads cops to be more leery of them. This could include disproportionately more likely to commit crime, a higher likelihood to resist arrest, a higher likelihood to become violent, etc.
Not if they threatened someone with a gun who called the police, resisted arrest, and tried to pull a gun on cops....odds go up millions times more than someone that didn't do those things.
I'm not sure if the cops knew that this scumbag raped a 14 year old, had weapons violations, drug dealer, and had attacked cops in the past. If they did, it just again demonstrates their professionalism to neutralize this threat to others and themselves.

You should read some stories from this site. It does have a "spin" on it but many times when whites are abused or murdered by police they are for very insignificant things and there actually are some who are "innocent" like the 17 year old I mentioned.
I'm generally neutral as it relates to the police shootings, but these last 2 shootings have me very hot under the collar.
I've also heard some whites respond with "White people get killed by the police too".
So my question is to the "whites"-Do you even care if whites get killed too? I know you don't care if blacks do and I'm okay with that disposition. Do you care if your own race gets killed? If so what do whites do to prevent it from happening because there is nothing at this point that blacks can do. If you care so much why are you so silent on the issue? Why are you so apathetic?
Please help me to understand. Do you even care?

I can remember having been a hiring manager at a Hospital with 3,200 employees. There were only 3 of us black managers in the whole darn place. I decided to do something about it. I went on an aggreesive hiring of black managers. Why? 1-We needed more managers 2- we needed managers of color. 3-the Senior Level(white folks) staff supported my efforts.
The point: I was in a position to make change happen and I DID. It's the highlight of my life.
Since whites are the dominant controlling class, why not use that position to make changes for the better?

No I don't care if white criminals get shot just like I don't care if black criminals get shot. So when you went on a black hiring spree I bet they were not the most qualified but only the color of their skin is what mattered. What a JOKE you are.

I take all these shootings on a case by case basis. Sometimes the outrage is way overblown, sometimes it is totally deserved. The Minnesota shooting was an assassination, the victim told the officer that he legally had a gun on him that he was taking out of his pocket so he could get his ID. There was no aggressive behavior towards the cop at all. After the cop needlessly shot him he continued pointing the gun at the man as he bleed to death. His wife / girlfriend was then arrested for no reason. It would have been over the top to pepper spray him, to shoot him and then continue pointing a gun at him as he bled to death is obscene.
I care about abusive law enforcement that gets away with anything because I care about the Constitution. When any group has their rights overlooked I know it could be me next.

Well, check this one out.
Guy runs over cow.
Cops show up. Call owner of cow. Say he needs to come and take care of his cow.
While cops are waiting for owner who lives 1/4 mile away, cops decide cow makes good target practice and start taking pot shots at cow.
Owner shows up as cops requested. Gets out of his vehicle. Takes a look at cow and decides cow is mortally injured (Mainly by the cops) and goes back to his vehicle and gets his rifle.
Cops watch him the whole time.
Owner goes over to kill cow by shooting him in the head and Cops Shoot owner killing him.
Wife comes to help. Cops tackle her and grind her ace into the asphalt. Owners wife has heart attack.
Cops make up senseless story about how reckless owner was. Sheriff has investigation says cops are in the right.
People get angry. Case goes to state. State says they need to investigate. Take 6 months turn it back over to sherrif. No one knows anything. All is secret. After 8 months still no charges against cops. All government does is stonewall.
