Fresh Recruits for ISIS. Obama needs to replenish the Ranks.

The U.S. transferred 15 Guantanamo Bay detainees to the United Arab Emirates on Monday, the largest such movement yet in President Barack Obama’s push to remove most prisoners from the offshore prison before he leaves office in January.

The transfer of 12 Yemenis and three Afghans from the Cuba facility to the U.A.E. leaves 61 detainees, a significant drop from the 242 men imprisoned there in 2009 when Mr. Obama took office but short of the president’s longtime goal of closing the lockup.

The Obama administration has faced persistent resistance from Congress and the Pentagon to closing the prison.

15 more to end up back on the playing field. Hopefully we will be able to lift the ridiculous ROE's and those 15 will become 15 more targets.

If Obama has a functional brain cell, a drone should then eliminate them.

Yes, they may be fresh recruits but we created them and I certainly would not blame them but in the end it's the right thing to do if we value anything this country is supposed to stand for.

You don't release enemies while you are still fighting a war.

Islamophilic Democrats think Islam is actually peaceful, and these released Jihadists will stop terrorism and chasing the virgins Muhammad promised them.

pk - I usually agree with you but we in no way created them and retribution is never the answer even if we were guilty which we weren't.

That's presuming the persons captured were actually combatants, which is not necessarily true. The prisoners at Gitmo are not Rommels, Pattons, and MacArthurs. It's certainly not as though they can make a difference one way or the other.

At any rate, the US should not be "disappearing" people as though it were just another tinpot dictatorship.

We did to. We locked people up for years without a shred of evidence they had done anything wrong. If someone did that to me you damn sure can bet I would want to retaliate.

We offered those we needed to influence 25k to turn in a "terrorist". What happened was those in new found power rounded anyone up, justifiably or not. Studying the Koran in school? You are a terrorist.......25K.

We created this and one can not blame them for wanting to even things up a bit.
