Not only argued with an empty chair but he lost the debate. It`s a shame that he`s ending his career making a fool of himself like Charlton Heston did.
Here's the hangup I have. People are gleaning over his article and picking and choosing what they want to agree with and making assumptions because he's a white man.
If you go back and READ what he said.... he wants people to grow thicker skin and stop using discrimination as a crutch to get what they want. He wants people to work for what they have and be accountable for their actions. Is it really that hard to see? He grew up in poverty and remembers it. If you come from poverty it's good to remember that so that you can work to never get back to that place. He also remembers what it's like to have to work hard to climb out of it, and wants others to do the same instead of expecting a free handout.
What's wrong with anything he said? Never once did he mention racism, privilege, or anything else in his speech. Those who want to bring that up are likely the same people who do the very things he is advocating against. He tried to preach tolerance while at the same time telling people to get over themselves, but many of you choose to ignore that because if a white man is trying to speak tolerance it must mean he has a hidden agenda.
Longtime Republican Clint Eastwood is pulling support from Donald Trump in the 2020 election. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the actor-director signaled that he thinks a different candidate would be the better choice.
“The best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there,” he said.
