Why are all these shenanigans that Clinton and Obama engaging in any different than Watergate? Scandal is scandal, seems like we cared more back then, there were impeachments, indictments and whatnut. today? nothing, not even a DISCUSSION of impeachment, not even a discussion of an indictment, just turn the page, look the other way, nothing to see.

That is because anyone that would talk impeachment against our current president, would immediately be branded a racist.
We knew there was a payoff from day one. We knew John Kerry and Obama are two of the most lack witted dolts to ever hold their respective offices. What's the big deal now? We'll have lots of stuff filter out about Obama that we know now, years after it was all denied.
What did that 400 million buy us if it was not a ransom for the 5 prisoners? Did we buy an interest in their oil production that will allow us to continue to buy it from them? Did we buy some sort of security that would assure that American interests would not be the target of terrorism? (the tea I was drinking just shot out my nose when I typed that one)
It is nothing but shady that 400 million in folding money was delivered at night in an unmarked jet and odd that the plane holding the captives was not allowed to leave until the money plane touched down.
400 million of tax payer dollars earned by people who punch a clock for a living and budget the little they toil for so they can get through the week.
Will some of this money come back to America to fund the surge of mosques that are being built here?
If a republican did this there would be accountability because the media would demand it. With Obama, Kerry and Clinton it is business as usual , Nothing to see here folks move along..
IIRC the 400 million was seized by the EU as part of a dispute with Iran. The money was in individual private accounts in Europe and, after a world court decision, being returned to the original owners in Iran. It was never our money and was, as a court determined, illegally seized in the first place. The transaction was done in cash because the world does not have any banking relationship with Iran so the money could not be simply transferred by wire or check.
The timing was unfortunate as it made the transaction seem to be a payment for releasing the hostages. The people that seized the hostages will never see a Real of that money.

Oh for crying out.loud, then why did we send tue miney and why in dollars?
Why not just give them the money in their own currency?
