Everything you laid out is exactly why I'll always side with the Israeli's/jews over Arab/Muslim countries. Jews seem like normal reasonable people, at least from what I've seen in recent history, they ain't refusing to shake hands, aren't sawing off people's heads especially while saying "god is great" or whatever... how damn warped it that thinking to say god is great while doing the most savage of things you can do to someone. Even so called moderate Muslim's beliefs against gays and attitude toward women with sharia law and all makes me vomit.

I hope the Israeli's beat those guys in every sport, except against us. LOL.

It's also important to note that regardless of the history, or individuals interpretation of history, the saddest thing in all of this is that this loser couldn't put politics aside just for a minute in the spirit of goodwill, sportsmanship, and coexistence.

Really shows you what this conflict is all about unfortunately.

Competitors in Judo are under no obligation to shake hands. But a bow is mandatory, which he eventually did.

Much ado about nothing.

Indeed. After all, the ancient Olympic Truce existed to provide participants safety from persecution during the Games. The original prize was a wreath of olive branches and leaves - the universal symbol of peace.

Some participants have strayed much too far from the spirit of friendly competition and have made the Games a time for public displays of politics and animosity. Sad.

I guess it is an improvement considering he was being pressured not to compete against him at all. Still a sore loser.

You want to go in that direction? 400,000 Jews were in Israel before WW2. Only 100,000 arrived from Europe after the war. Thus 80% were there for generations who at a minimum can prove they lived there under the Ottoman Empire.

You want a planting? The Hashemites from Saudi Arabia were planted in and given Iraq and Jordan by only the British. No international voting, nothing.

Take time to read historical truths.

What forces? From where? The advancing forces with all the Military armaments were the Arabs from bordering countries. The Jews had very little of their own armaments, but were very good at taking it away from the Arabs. 700k Arabs left the region on their own. Over a Million Jews were evicted from numerous Arab countries in the Middle East and numerous Muslim nations in Africa.

1000 years ago? Why don't you take the time to research the creation of each Muslim country in North Africa and the Middle East? You'll learn the truth that most of them came into existence within the last 100 years.
