In my mind "Democrats" are for workers rights, the middle class and a better life for the poor.

With that in mind their candidate is pushing through the Trans Pacific Partnership that will cost more Americans good, union jobs. Will bring more refugees in here who will continue to degrade the quality of life for those at the bottom.

Bill Clinton pushed NAFTA through, how many jobs has that cost? Good jobs too.

I can understand why big American business wants NAFTA and TPP. And I can also understand why Hillary is getting huge money from Wall Street and big business like Berkshire Hathaway while Donald is getting mostly donations from regular folks.

Seems backwards doesn't it?

How can any true Democrat support this modern day Democratic Party? It is NOTHING like the Party my Parents supported when I was a kid. Absolutely nothing.

How about the fact that Hillary has taken the opposite side of every issue she says she stands for now? How can any Democrat support that woman?

I'm a registered Democrat, but believe in free trade. I've voted for candidates on both sides of the aisle before. I don't really fit into a single category, except maybe as a libertarian.

That is exactly right.

The modern democrat party is the biggest threat to the middle class and has resulted in the largest "wealth gaps" since 1900.

1. NAFTA
2. China trade policy
3. Pac Rim
4. Repeal of Glass Steagle
5. Elimination of "red lining"
6. imporation of illegals to reduce wages

Now we have an election in which the dems are supported by Wall Street bankers, corporations who want more outsourcing, and foreign globalists. The dems are financed and manipulated by the ultra rich who want the nation to be a class of low wage serfs, such that the oligarchs can make more money.

Want to be a slave? Vote democrat.

Not one of the usual suspects commented. Questions they just don't want to deal with I guess.

You do realize that the {R} party widely supported or written the legislation of your above examples. Here let me show you.

NAFTA a majority of {R}s supported
Giving MFN status to China a majority of {R}s supported, My senator Rob Portman was a leading advocate and the point man on steering legislation
Pac Rim Majority of {R}s support it
Repeal of Glass?Steagle passed by a majority of a {R} controlled congress. See Phil Graham
Immigration the {R}s are just as bad as the {D}s

And your point was?

And you just gave every reason why Trump has been so successful.

Adding to your list, don't forget the millions the House Republicans were paid to pass the TPP.

Ryan throughout these past few years has advocated open borders. He spoke with Gutierrez supporting immigration, amnesty, supporting the influx of refugees, passed a bill to allow 250,000 more H1-B visa workers to displace American citizens, just to mention a few.

Then, when he was losing ground in his home state in his re-election bid, he suddenly supported closed borders, curbing refugee immigration and enforcing existing immigration laws. Now that he has won, he is back to his globalist positions.

They are all one of a kind.
