Was just listening to the news talk about this lawsuit and also the fact that MOST charter schools HELP URBAN AREAS! I thought liberals were for helping minorities? If that's the case why keep fighting better schools and school choice?

Unions look after their members. They're interest is not necessarily in improving education or any other cause.

I support charter schools though.

why would they be in favor or charter schools? Charters schools do not have to hire teachers who belong to the union or support the union. It is that simple.

Many reasons. If head count drops schools close. They also get funding based on head count.

Reading lots of smear articles about Charter schools lately, but then again there are lots of smear articles about public schools from the voucher crowd so *shrug*.

Public schools don't need smear articles.

Most people went one.

Lol at your sources... Charter schools put profit first, students second. Republicans are all about privatizing everything, so to squeeze the most profit out of it. Look at how many private colleges today have handed out useless, expensive diplomas that are worthless. Privatizing prisons and education are great revenue centers

Why are taxi groups opposed to Uber?

Assuming the schools are for-profit and not non-profit. But even assuming this is true, the teachers unions are for teachers first and students second. I don't necessarily think this is wrong because the teachers pay dues in order to receive employment representation. . My point is, in both cases the students are the secondary consideration.
