For the record, I believe that any business should have the right to refuse to bake a cake for any reason they want. But Liberal's obvious double standard and hypocrisy on the issue is worth pointing out, and they don't even attempt to justify the double standard with a logical argument. Tolerant of everyone, except those that disagree with them.
I agree. A business owner should be able to choose his products for any reason whatsoever.
Fact 1. Trumps attorneys sent out cease and desist letters to people selling items with his name on them.
Fact 2. The grocery store said that they corrected the bakery employee and would make the cake.
These scenarios are different. Those online companies are making money off of Trump's name and image without his permission. The bakery had a customer make a request for one cake at a private event. This is not the same as the bakery making unsolicited cakes with Trump logos and displaying them for sale.

There are two distinct legal claims that potentially apply to these kinds of unauthorized uses: (1) invasion of privacy through misappropriation of name or likeness ("misappropriation"); and (2) violation of the right of publicity. (The "right of publicity" is the right of a person to control and make money from the commercial use of his or her identity.)

The right of publicity is the right of a person to control and make money from the commercial use of his or her identity. A plaintiff that sues you for interfering with that right generally must show that you used his or her name or likeness for a commercial purpose. This ordinarily means using the plaintiff's name or likeness in advertising or promoting your goods or services, or placing the plaintiff's name or likeness on or in products or services you sell to the public.
Geez man that was a powerful statement lol,l but I can mostly agree with that part.
You agree with my sarcastic statement that white males are evil and should be destroyed? Your way of thinking is exactly the same as a racist white jerk who thinks all blacks are criminals and they all should be wiped of the face of the earth. Two sides of the same damn coin.

Same uproar and whining as we got when religious bakers refused to be apart of homosexual "weddings"? I doubt it.
As with any and all private business, they have the right to refuse service to anyone they wish. I pick and interview the people that come to me for my services, then I decide if I wish to do it, or not.
Sometimes I flat say no, I'll pass and then others I may place a extremely high price on it, so they can be someone elses problem, as they price shop... My price sheet has an "azzhole" charge. Instant 50% added to my normal price.
Yes, there are certain people I will not even bid when they call, just based upon their accent. Been there and learned my lesson, being their whipping boy. I will say I am overbooked and not accepting new work.
Never lost money on a job I didn't do.
Meh, they agreed the employee made a mistake and will do it.
It was not a mistake by the employee and I hope she gets fired ...
