Yus, and it took hundreds of millions of years to become livable. Then the planet went through a few hundred million years of experimentation with different life forms.

But why should I care. I'll exit this insane world within the next 20 years in all probability and I have no kids. So screw 'em all.

the real reason is that dupont held the patents for R12, and they were running out. and since the government would not extend the patents on R12, dupont developed R134a so they could continue to make huge amounts of money in their refrigerant division. dupont also got the government to make the production of R12 illegal in this country. R12 is still made in other countries by the way, including india and mexico.

now there a rumors of R134a going the way of R12, and being replaced by another refrigerant, R1234f(iirc). and why is this? once again nothing so noble as the environment, but rather once again the patents on R134a are running out. when the government requires one be certified to handle R134a, you will know the patents are just about out, and R134a will end up on the scrap heap of history.

as for CO2, that particular gas makes up about .004% of the atmospheric gases, and man puts out less than .4% of the total amount of CO2 that goes into the atmosphere each year. so tell me again how much impact man really has.
Try 004% cyanide in your morning coffee and let me know how that turns out....If you can.... Small amounts do not mean harmless.

Your body won't have time to build up a tolerance if your coffee is .004% of your body weight of cyanide, as that tiny amount will kill you....Try it and see.

So, you get the point I was making that a tiny amount of a substance, be it cyanide or CO2 can do a lot of damage, right?

Where is this person who was alive 2 million years ago and says it is warmer now? Or is this the usual guessing?

it is possible to acknowledge that putting massive amounts of CO2 in the air might not be so good and that alternative power supplies might be something to strive for without supporting the democrats ideas of fighting global warming.

There was once a time we were told by the petro companies that lead in exhaust in leaded gasoline was just fine, somehow the petro comanies survived after leaded petro was banned.
