If that is true we don't need government involvement.

Nobody is against cheaper energy. We don't need carbon credits, green subsidies or anything else if solar and wind are cheaper.

Why don't you liberals start your own green energy company? You don't need deniers to agree with you on global warming.

Because we don't produce them, and we pour no money into R&D. Just think if we did, we could blow China out of the water with our technological advantages.

I actually am concerned about climate change myself, however understand that scientists are human and don't always follow the motto of truth without bias. Scientists will admit they don't always know everything and are sometimes wrong. Even the greatest recorded scientists were wrong sometimes. In fact in science "question everything, and see for yourself" is a principle.

However were I part ways is with the democratic party and their approach to "climate change" which is more in step with gaining control and powering themselves then truly being worried about the Earth. The democratic party is only worried about awareness of climate change if it benefits them.

For the deniers , there was once leaded gasoline, the petro companies campaigned to the public that lead was perfectly not dangerous in the environment and even hired their own scientists to side with them. Everybody know lead is toxic to humans. Thanks to Clair Patterson the truth about leaded gasoline was finally put forth.

Break that grip, save the planet, create good paying jobs. TOTALLY doable.
And then the unions tried to bankrupt the companies so they outsourced.

Most conservatives either believe that the rapture will save us from global warming or the consequences won't be as bad as scientists think they will. Hopefully they are right on the second one or we are in for a terrible future.

And just think, all this can be avoided if people would go back to living how they did for millennia i.e. in cities instead of suburbs.

how about first you learn how government regulation costs business tons of money each year.

second government should not be doing research and development, that should be the private sector, government scrws everything up.

right, we can d all those things, and it will be at least 100 years before ANY changes in the climate are made. and this from your own so called experts. and that assumes that man is actually causing this so called issue.

but let me ask you this, lets say we do everything you think we should to combat climate change, or global warming, or what ever you wish to call it today. we do the easy things, we increase taxes, we increase regulations, etc. and we cost the worlds economies untold trillions of dollars, and nothing changes. then what?

The cost of doing nothing to mitigate climate change will be far greater than addressing it.

By the way there is already a lot being done to address the problem.. https://www.theguardian.com/environm...5-report-shows

On a personal note...I recently bought a 2017 Subaru Forester after my 2007 was totaled...It is a partial zero emissions vehicle (PZEV) with a constant velocity transmission. It's fuel economy is about 40% better than the 2007. Many new cars are also so equipped...

A partial zero emissions vehicle, in the United States, is an automobile that has zero evaporative emissions from its fuel system, has a 15-year (or at least 150,000-mile) warranty on its emission-control components, and meets SULEV tailpipe-emission standards. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partia...ssions_vehicle

The PZEV classification ends after the 2017 model year when the industry will begin working PZEV technology into all cars sold nationally to meet the Environmental Protection Agency's phase-in of the Tier 3 Vehicle Emissions and Fuel Standards Program.

Well, the whole planet has gone to hell since 0bama took office. So it makes sense from that point of view.

I dont think there's any real evidence that anything else is happening, however.

It may just be ... that all of that "Ape Brained" Java Man designation stuff may not be extinct at all ... but may quite possibly have survived into some of the really, really smart science folks brains ... the ones with those long white coats and very thick glasses !!! ....... Unfortunately ... Like all things in the States these days ... It's all political or nothing ... of course Science folks have played right into the hands of the political circus with their opposing theories on climate changing or not ... Earth warming up or not !!!! ... Too much politics will ruin any culture ... and be damned if it ain't nearly ruined this one ! ... Old Sgt. Lamar Says So !
