"Police arrived within seven minutes of a teacher calling 911 to take the suspect into custody " - that is slow.

When seconds count.

in 7 minutes, even someone not too well versed in firearms, can kill a bunch of people.
If everyone were armed, or at least want to be armed, this gets stopped with in seconds.
There are always casualties in war.

When not armed, you don't have to run fast, you just have to be faster than the other guy.

FYI the average time for police to respond to a shooting is 10 mins. So they were pretty quick.

Sounds like this kid got taken down pretty quickly--hero on the scene.

Which of the "common sense" gun laws that hillary wants would have prevented this one?
A 14 year old boy flips out, kills his father, then goes to an elementary school and starts shooting.
Background check? Nope, no such thing for a theft! (by the way, Washington State recently passed a "Comprehensive Background Check" initiative; it apparently did not even slow the Cascade Mall shooter down!)
Age limit? Nah, it is already illegal for the kid to have a gun.
Gun free zone? Huh-uh, once again that did no good at all!
Murder? Obviously he did not care that it was illegal to kill people.

Luckily, he didn't manage to shoot very many, and only killed his father, from what I heard.
