On a professional level comedians have known this for awhile. That's why they've stopped playing college campuses. Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock have mentioned it.
The point is why use the adjective black? How does that make the joke any funnier?
Then Black comedians should refrain from putting Whitey this and whitey that in their routine...or for that matter any nationality.Ever hear of Eddie Murphy?
Listen to him laugh at make jokes about Little Rice d i c k Asians or short d i c k white guys...yeah that's right...How about two black men standing in the middle of a bridge both had to take a leak one said to the other boy that waters cold...the other replied yeah and deep too!
A Black comedian joke...get over it that is funny!
At work I once told a joke that went..."Why are black basketball players so tall?...Because their knee-grows"
Now everyone except one older black man found it funny! Even other blacks with whom I work with found it hilarious. This one person complained about how it was a very insulting and racist joke. Don't see where the racism exists in that joke but it just goes to show you how some people cannot appreciate a good joke when it comes to race even when there's nothing to be offended by.
I'm not sure what people are complaining about in this thread. It's perfectly legal to go up to a group of black men hanging out on the corner and tell the joke about the Jew, the dead ni**er and the truckload of skinheads. There is no law against it.
What some are complaining about is the reaction they get from such telling. I guess we're all supposed to stand at parade rest and give out a good natured laugh.
It should also be perfectly acceptable for a black man to walk up to a young white man, with a big smile on his face and say, "last night your sister gave me diamonds and today, I gave them to your wife". Everyone should have a nice happy belly laugh over the humorous implications of the statement.
What did the delicate little snowflake get offended about?
