I'm a pretty liberal guy, but I honestly can't stand some liberals. Do they not realize that buying ANY clothing made in Vietnam, Cambodia, or some other third world country was most likely made in a sweatshop by workers who were paid pennies?

Nordstrom doesn't have to get rid of Ivanka products; we just won't buy them. Why would I give Trump or his kids one penny of my money? Not a chance. Trump needs the blue states because we have the money. His hotels are in blue states, he markets in blue states, but now, blue states can't stand him.

He's renaming his hotels Scion. Does he think we won't know? He better just pull his properties and products out of blue states and focus on red states, charge less so they can afford to buy. Nordstrom will decide how long to keep Trump products once they've gone on 80% markdown at The Rack.

I believe this post is about Macy's which already had an established pattern of decreasing sales. Target is an entirely different store with an entirely different issue.

Got it?

Um, Macy's has been struggling for years, as have most department retailers. (Kohl's, Sears, etc.) Mainly because a lot of "Millennials" and such don't actually go shopping at department stores? Soooo much reaching going on here.

This is BS. Most people don't buy apparel to make political statements. If I were Nordstrom's management I wouldn't drop Ivanka's label (assuming it sells). She has done nothing wrong. Donald is different thoigh, he's not a fashion icon and I can't see who may be attracted by his name in apparel.

Of course liberals are now claiming that has nothing to do with Macys decision but solely with other reasons.

Nordstrom was bullied into getting rid of Ivanka Trump's clothing /shoe line. Nordstrom responded that they don't chose their clothes bases on politics.

No Republican made an issue of Nordstrom carrying BLM fanatic Beyonce after Beyonce bashed the cops and neither Nordstrom carrying Kardashian jeans line.

If you don't like the brand for whatever reason than don't buy it and free markets will play out.
Let's see what will sell better at Nordstrom!
The clothing line of the a female praised for her well upbringing and graceful way she behaves or DUI convict Khloe Kardashian and sister of sex video known Kardashian and Beyonce the cop basher.

As if the average Trump voter ever set foot inside a Nordstroms. Please, talk about Wal-Mart...that's his primary following.

The recent issues with the declining sales at Macy's has nothing to do with their dropping the Donald Trump label of clothing. Manufacturers and retailers are always taking a chance when they decide to license or sell any product named after a celebrity or public figure. What do you expect a business to do when such a celebrity is involved in a scandal or makes outrageous or highly controversial statements? Macy's is in the business of making money, and they will make a business decision based on what will maximize their profits or minimize their losses.

In August, Macy's announced they were closing 100 stores due to the pressure of online shopping. This decision was made before Trump got the Republican nomination and thus it would be difficult to see how this would have factored into their decision unless they had a psychic on staff.

My guess is they were scaling back and cutting Ivanka's line was an easy decision.

Consumer boycotts are getting to the point you have to check online before getting a bucket of chicken.

Isn't it racist to judge people by their color? What I said at the end "America first black smurf"?
