Our best bet is probably more in non-restrictive solutions like the research currently being done to improve and find new forms of non carbon based energy. Basically we are on a countdown timer to find some other way to be able to power most of the world while remaining competitive enough on price and availability to not exclude vast amounts of people.
Any change to energy production would be very gradual, and according to the warming experts, too late.

It is already too late, it has probably been too late for half a century or more. We are trying to mitigate the damage not completely prevent it from happening at this point.

Air travel contributes 2% of global CO2.

Yea, not to mention that people's personal habits have literally no relationship to the veracity of the science itself... it is just a red herring so that we can all play some identity politics.

It's an issue that should be continually monitored, and long after I'm dead. The effects of climate change are a slow burn, so I believe that this science should continue to be studied. We can look at glaciers receding, average temperatures, etc. But it will probably not effect my life, my children, or even grandchildren in a terrible way (hopefully I'm wrong).

At what percentage does something become relevant?

What is the largest activity contributing to climate change?

So, human activity has no relationship to climate change?

Then tell me why the average American produces 19.78 tonnes of CO2 per year, compared with Russia's 12 tonnes per person, China's 4.58 tonnes per person, and India's 1.16 tonnes per person.

Taking a non researched non googled guess I would say:

Power Production
Ground travel
Livestock farming

Would be my 3 guesses for the top.

Ok statements like this make me question your honesty. Go re-read the post you responded to and show me where I said that. I said human activity has no effect on the veracity of the science. Do you need me to link you an online dictionary?
