To think Steve Bannon will be Trump's top advisor.

Definitely people who can should have a contingency plan for their families just in case.

This means that he not only takes issue with poor immigrants, but also rich immigrants-what about rich minorities as a whole?

Are we the next to be blamed for the plight of Whites in the Rust Belt?

I work in a management position in SV and this has me thinking that perhaps we should at least think about ways to keep our families safe.
Yes, I thought you had a dog in this fight from your proliferation of Trump bashing threads. If you aren't here illegally, what's the problem? If you ARE here illegally, well then, yes......you should make contingency plans.

Minorities and legal immigrants have nothing to fear in the Trump era. The real victims, those that have been vilified openly for 8 years, white men, will no longer be denigrated under Trump's leadership.

The fact is, millions of us are no longer at ease in the country we were born in and we feel betrayed by people that have been lulled into submission by hateful rhetoric and now look at us as if we are their enemies.

So why don't you skip my threads. I promise I wont miss you.
I stand by my post. Why don't you grow a backbone instead of incessantly crying racism.

I'm a minority, born in the U.S.A., as well as many other posters here. You don't see us whining ad nauseum.

I know I won't change your mind, but if you're an American, why don't you just accept the outcome of the election and give the man a chance?

I'd like to know just what his race/ethnic background is that makes him feel threatened. I have asked him a couple of times but he refused to answer me. I wonder why that is? Hmmm.

Only when they cant find one, my petition moves ahead. That means I have to develop more skillsets & work experience than Americans in my profession. If not, I will be easily replaced.

We dont enjoy the privileges & perks that illegal immigrants get here. If your gpa drops or you lose your job, your visa is cancelled & you get deported within 40days. The backlog to get green card for Indians is about 15-20 yrs because there are so many illegals blocking the line. I think it would be great if they get deported. It will clear a lot of backlog. Your country, your rules. If I have a problem with it I should pack my bags & leave the country rather than forming coalitions of ignorants & throwing childish tantrums. Any naturalized citizen is an American so when you say American, you are talking about me whereas an immigrant means who is still on some visa or here illegally. Being a visitor here doesnt give you any rights that citizens enjoy. Work hard & become a citizen like us to claim your rights & benefits.
Great post--Thank you. Important information and a rational perspective keep a discussion useful and educational to everyone who chooses to examine other people's perspectives and think about them. I always learn something from people who post like this and keep a discussion useful.

Do minorities really feel like govt forces are going to go after them?

I have heard Trump wants Illegals with a criminal background out and to screen immigrants with Muslim backgrounds. I have yet to hear of gestapo like forces patrolling the streets. If anything the Clinton era was the closest thing to resemble that with the ATF. Also dont forget Obama deported more than any other president.

High deportation figures are misleading - LA Times

Besides, Obama implemented DACA and DAPA his deportation record is dismal.

That poster claims "person of color" but; it ain't Asian or Hispanic so, I'm guessing "Black". Everyone else is anglo white, even Muslim Arabs.
