I had heard about this theory very early one and now look what we have.

US election: Donald Trump never wanted to be president, warned Michael Moore

You could have fooled me. Trump worked day and night at the expense of his businesses and a relationship with his immediate family for a year and a half to win the election.

He wanted to win. Trump said he wanted to win, explicitly.

There is that, but some people will stick with the "never wanted" theme. It helps them sleep at night I guess.

Years ago he wanted to own the Plaza Hotel, once he got it his interest seemed to wane, some associates commented at the time he may well enjoy the hunt more than anything else. The Presidency may well be seen in the same way by him. It's the old 'now that you've got the tiger by the tail, what's next?', often people learn they really didn't want to catch that tiger.

How many millions of dollars did he spend on his own money on his campaign?

How many millions of dollars did Hilary Clinton spend of her own money on her campaign?

Mediated on this, reflect, and get back to us when you've seen the light.

To use your analogy, if you think "the hunt" is Trump's motivation he has quite a safari ahead with numerous species of animals and uncharted territories to hunt in, which should keep him extremely challenged in every way.

Trump has millions of dollars invested in this country in real estate.

And he's been watching it go down the tubes.

He's on record since 1998 talking about the trade deficits. It's always been a possibility he could run for congressional office and he's on record answering this question.

I think he has plenty of a vested interested in this country to see it continue to be successful.

We have a by FAR better outlook on our economic development, not just expanding welfare entitlements and government jobs promised by the Democrats.

He held a rally at 1AM in front of 30,000 in Michigan the night before the election because he didn't want to win.
