Regarding Carrier it was a win-win for Trump and America. 60%-9% Americans like it. I guess you are in the 9%.

Regarding automation. Sounds like McDonald's and the $15 per hour minimum wage. Today you get your $15 per hour but in a little while we will automate your job. You probably don't like what McDonald's said but you are fine with UT saying the same thing because its a knock on Trump. Why spend the money to move to Mexico if automation is right around the corner? This argument can be made for most current jobs. Should we just not even bother to keep any jobs? Just give up?
I am fine with analyzing government contracts. Yes, we should definitely be trimming the fat. But you do not go on Twitter, blow your load publicly and endanger the corporation's stock prices (thereby people's jobs). He needs to CTFO and learn how to communicate in a diplomatic, nonaggressive manner.

And automation is coming no matter what. Mark my words.

Right, like I wrote before! "... let's analyze [government contracts], not blow smoke or make it seem that one token example makes for any significant policy change. There is a very strict process for awarding government contracts. If that process results in too much tax payer money spent, then it is the process that needs fixing,"

Also again, we are a country of laws, not rulers who pick and choose their victims, forcing their will on specific targets according to their political ax to grind while none of the wide-spread problem throughout the rest of the country is addressed in any meaningful long-term manner.

If Trump and his followers think that leaders of companies, large and small, are going to be intimidated into actions contrary to their responsibilities to their stock-holders just because Trump picks on this company or that for whatever reason, we've got a dumber POTUS about to take office than I thought!

Yet, Trump's groupies seem to be lapping all this stuff up as if it all makes good sense. Amazing...

Just because Trump's use of Twitter is "unpresidented" does not mean it's a bad thing. I mean, what's wrong with knee-jerk reactions about world affairs from our POTUS? Who needs longer-term reasoned considerations and deliberations with others who might know a bit more about what's going on before a more formal communication to Americans and the rest of the world is released?

Time for a bit more fast and furious, and seems we're going to be getting plenty more of both over the next four years...
