I'd say the fact that this bigoted view is the most common one amongst conservatives towards latinos makes it an example of the core beliefs of conservatives.

Also, the notion that enforcing the border somehow is racist is absurd. In reality, enforcing the border is the least racist thing regarding immigration this country can do. With enforced borders and legal immigration, immigrants of all races from all over the world including Asia, Africa and Europe are given equal opportunities to migrate here and work. People from south of the border are not given a special pass simply because they can walk across while the rest of the world has to wait in line.
My point was that the Republicans don't object to immigrants or refugees that will be a benefit to our country and not a threat to our society. If I remember correctly you claimed that the Republicans pretty much object to immigrants and refugees in general and that's simply not true.

But there is a lot of resistance to refugees...Moslem or not..being settled in the US.
I would guess the difference maker would be the caveat.."a benefit to our country".
A refugee is fleeing something..persecution or natural disaster..and coming here to make a fresh start.
Thus, the immediate benefit to the US may not be apparent.
I understand 'refugee' to be a humanitarian designation...not a utilitarian one.
Most immigrants are vetted on a skills and needs basis--to determine priority.
They support the Democrats because they want more Latinos in this country whether they be legal or illegal and the hand outs that they will get from the Democrats. They like the Democrats for their amnesty stances also.

What taxes are the Republicans imposing unfairly on the working class? If I remember correctly Bush reduced taxes for the working class. No, it's all about amnesty for their illegal amigos why they vote Democrat and the socialism that the Democrats adhere to.

No it's not. Illegals do come here for a better life. But many come here for the free health care when they give birth. On top of lowering wages which puts more Americans in those same fields on government assistance or puts Americans out of jobs which puts them on government assistance or when they send most of their money home to take care of family how that hurts Americas economy. Becasue it's bigoted to want Americans to have a better quality of life right?

Hispanics are white so I am not understanding why so many try to separate them out from the white vote as a whole.
Most of them here are Mestizos of Mexican roots so you can't just call them white. I think they identify more with their Ameridian ancestors than their white Spanish ones even though they mostly speak Spanish.
