Your seeing thousands daily fleeing the failed socialist basket case of south america to come in this country. And yet you keep voting democrat that want to turn us into another socialist basket case. I just don't get it?
Mexico is a "free market" democracy with no protections for workers or the environment. But it's not really a supposed free market, since the big companies collude to pay the workers next to nothing or provide proper safety equipment. Then of course the drug cartel is involved with running parts of the country, and many law enforcement are corrupt.
Mexico does have some social programs, like health care assistance, but that does little when you can't make a living or buy enough food to eat or live a decent life.
Not that I approve of them going across the border illegally. I don't.
Why does anyone vote by party line? They feel that party best represents their beliefs and needs. The reality has little to do with it. From where I'm sitting I would have say the 2 parties represent only their own selfish interests. In other words power.
They support the Democrats because they want more Latinos in this country whether they be legal or illegal and the hand outs that they will get from the Democrats. They like the Democrats for their amnesty stances also.
I promise you that there are more white americans on welfare than latinos but thanks for the generalizarion.
I just said this in an earlier post. I figured even a cursory exploration of this "Latino" political phenomena would yield the same conclusion. I just dated Latina women and found out that this Latino thing is just a political myth. They are a diverse group of people all on their own. The only thing that remotely unites them is a language and a vague Iberian-European culture, which even then is very loose.
But Liberals and Democrats cannot function or correctly analyze without these inane boxes they put people into. There is no Latino race. No country in LatAm has a "Latino/Hispanic" racial category. They do not see themselves as "Latino" in the sense of a race much less a connected one.
Most of the issues dubbed "Latino" issues tend to be Mexican, Mexican American or Central American issues.
I mean how can liberals be this blind to the nuances of the people they claim to support? It's almost insulting and condescending the way they pigeonhole people and then expect them to vote a certain way or hold certain views.
Oh hold the phone! A white guy dated a few latinas and now hes the expert on hispanic/latino cuture. Yeah right.
All of that's fine but Latinos are ethnocentric and whether they want to identify as 'white' instead of mixed race or mongoloid and they've voted majority Democrat since records have been kept in 1972.
I certainly agree younger people who are even mostly fully white European whether latino or not tend to be more hostile to whites. It's just not good to be white anymore.
It would be hard to prove but I bet nearly fully European Spanish lean Republican. There is a very strong ethnocentric factor in being a democrat.
Ethnocentric? You mean like white americans who have to have the klan and other nationalist heritage groups? Wanna bet that there are more of those groups than latino ones?
They aren't our children. It's their own country's responsibility to feed them. We have enough of our own poor children to feed.
