For a long time during Obama's presidency, we heard constant talk about how Putin makes Obama look weak, how Putin is a "strong leader", etc. I am wondering now that there is evidence of Russian hacking and interfering in our elections, are the right wing media and conservatives going to apologize for lionizing Vladimir Putin?

Are you kidding? The rightwing worships Putin, and now they have their very own U.S. version in Donald Trump. What amazes me is how these very same people will defend Russia hacking our own election. I think the word "traitor" is an apt description. These people will sell out their own country to mother Russia.

Is the left wing media going to apologize for repeatedly trying to corrupt the election for Hillary???
Where's the DNC apology for paying agitators to promote violence and chaos at Trump rallys?

"Hacking" the election? LOL.

Really, you leftards need to get together and settle on a reason why Hillary lost: was it fake news? Was it Russia? Was it a "whitelash?" Was it latent misogyny? Was it FBI Director Comey? When the Cubs finally cast off the billygoat curse did it land on Hillary? I mean, it HAD to be SOMETHING besides the fact that she was just a ridiculously lousy candidate, amirite?

It's the continuation of the Obama excusefest that we've been living with for the last 8 years. It's never the leaders fault, there must be some other evil plot.....you can acknowledge a leader's skill and strength without somehow worshipping him or her as the case may be.

This is really making the left sound like morons. You need to come up for air and surface in America and not your safe space of the echo chamber and your dog whistles. The rest of the country is moving from laughter to pity.

This thread isn't about Hillary, it's about Putin. Do try to keep up.

It sure looks like Mitch McConnell ignored the threat, in favor of waiting so his wife could get a cushy appointment from Trump.

Times have changed my friend. Once the Right hated Russia/USSR and everything it stood for - Nixon represented that thinking in spades, and of course even into the Regan administration. But over time, as the Right became more radical, and more disconnected from traditional American values, they began to realize that their agenda actually had a lot in common with Putin's authoritarian regime - and that they could benefit from an alliance. When you get right down to it, Trump and Putin are very much alike. They will both benefit enormously by this collusion. Of course the average working person of the world will suffer, but why would they care? The old soldiers from WWII are almost all gone now, so this is their opportunity to create a new world order.

So no - the right wing media is not going to apologize for this. The balance of power in the world is changing.

Where is the contradiction between "Putin is a strong leader" and "he is interfering in our election"? That what strong leaders do, they are interfering in other nations business.
