Bless that poor woman, she was 94 years old. At that age, even 10 years younger, that kind of trauma could be life ending. Thankfully, she made it out of the hospital but the picture is heartbreaking.

Umm, did you bother to first search for American media articles about this story? There are plenty of American press sources that also covered it. If CNN is how you rate American media, then you are missing a lot of real media out there, 24hr news channels isn't worth anyone's time.
Very few cultures in the world tolerate violence on old people, especially old women. They would have been tortured to death in many third world countries.

I just searched CNN, MSNBC and HuffPoo-not one report on "chicago wwii vet attack". They are too busy attacking Trump for answering the telephone.

I almost never check American media sources anymore, they're worthless. I found that the daily mail site I linked to is decent, even if it is British.
Public hangings or be-headings would fix all of this thuggery.
