Something I was curious, it's easy for young people today to talk about how bad those in power are and how they take advantage and exploit others, which indeed some do, but in the future when these same people manage to get in power will they end up in the same spot? Kind of like how many of the SJW types of the 60s/70s are now ones that exploit others and allow greed and power to color their views?

Greed and power have colored people's views with every generation since the beginning of humankind. Without exception, it has never skipped a generation. Their ages has nothing to do with it. Some people are just smarter at exploiting it than others as they get older. The young people of today will be no different from any other generations that have gone before them.

Most likely for the most part. It's generational and cyclical. The baby boomer generation is a bit extreme and messed up more than average, but not so far off that it's a complete outlier.

I think this is true for every generation. It makes me wonder what will be mine as I hit retirement.

...but it rings hollow since they aren't really rebelling from the establishment in any substantial way. They're just following the lead of their baby boomer professors, and 75-year-old senator Bernie Sanders.

Interesting replies. It was just something I was interested in. Right or wrong the fact is it's easy for young people that don't have much if any influence/power to go all SJW about exploiting others and discrimination etc. etc. but I have wondered how many would change if they did finally make it to such high levels of power.

Don't get misled into thinking that the extremes of a group defines the group.
