Like I just posted Eisenhower was no traitor.

They were passionate anti-fascists -- well, they were until Stalin made a deal with Hitler to divide up Poland, and then they were pro-Hitler for a couple of years.

Now, with communism long dead in Russia, they are suddenly anti-Russian. Hmm. Why?

Because Russia throws its weight around almost as much as we do?

Because it's as corrupt as Loretta Lynch meeting Bill Clinton on an airplane?

Because it's as deadly as the young DNC staffer who leaked emails to Wikileaks mysteriously being shot to death in Washington, D.C.?

They didn't mind when Hillary did her "re-set" and Obama promised to be "more flexible" after his second election.

It's all a great mystery...but I think it has something to do with Trump!
Yes, it is a mystery how much disinformation one can absorb and actually come to believe.

Feel free to point out where I've been inaccurate.

This thread epitomizes the hypocrisy of many on the right. And, actually Obama's approval rating has been climbing steadily in the last few years. If Obama were to act as Putin does, the same hypocrites would be bashing him. Bigly.

Odd that that some in the US believe and trust the Russian media, which Putin controls, but doesn't trust the American free press.

"...One of Mr Putin's greatest tools is his ability to manipulate public sentiment through a stranglehold on Russia's most influential media. A Levada survey in May found that 94 per cent of those polled depended on domestic television networks – which are state-dominated – to follow news from Crimea and Ukraine...Russian state media is a tide of Putin-worship, nationalist diatribe and outright falsehoods."

Odd that some in the US believe the Russian polls, where eavesdropping and spying on citizens is pervasive, but do not trust the US polling.

"...Political surveys conducted by telephone in a country where people fear retribution for criticising the authorities may not be the best test of sentiment. Saying you love the leader is the safest thing, just in case someone is listening in or noting down your name..."

Odd that the Tea Party and other 'patriots' arose against Obama, claiming he was "tyrannical" and now some Americans are downright pining for a dictator who gets rid of opposition using any method possible.

"...Painting yourself as a paternalistic keeper of the nation's future is a little easier, of course, when you have scrubbed out every potential rival..."

"...58% of Russians say that government officials primarily seek to preserve and strengthen their own power and 60% say that government officials are not accountable to society..."

Odd that some Americans admire a leader who invades other countries, and at the same time claim we should stay of out others' affairs. Can you imagine how they would freak if Obama started invading other nations?

"...through the patriotic surge of the Sochi Olympics in February, hitting the 80s again in the spring as Russia annexed Crimea and rising yet further as Mr. Putin threw his weight behind pro-Moscow rebels in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk and Luhansk's "people's republics" over the summer and autumn..."

CN
And Jay Carney, Obama's press secretary, had Soviet propaganda posters on the wall in his kitchen.
