I get water 100% of the time. Who needs all those useless sugary calories?

Sectional or Mid-Century?

RR
I see a lot of Red in Pennsylvania's future.

I'm wondering how long this tax will last.

So, you never eat dessert? How boring.

Eating is pleasurable to me. It's a part of my lifestyle that I enjoy.

Sectional. Sure, it's not as sexy, but they are functional.

It'll just make Philadelphians poorer, and fat bureaucrats fatter.

The sugar/high fructose corn syrup addiction is a strong one. Just like the tax on gasoline, and cigarettes, the taxman has a great revenue stream going there.

While some used to having their sugary drinks will give them up. Most will not.

I prefer the taste of the sodas made with real sugar. When I purchase Coke, I buy the Mexican Cokes from Costco.

From the article.....
Now ask yourself, who drinks the most sugary drinks? That’s right. Obese uneducated poor people who are likely to be scraping by on food stamps or very low incomes. Kenney and his liberal minions have ****ed over their main voters. This tax is going to drive grocery purchases outside the city and hurt small restaurant owners. It isn’t benefiting kids. It’s funding the bloated pensions of teachers and government employees. Overall tax revenue will decline. Democrats are complete idiots when it comes to economics. Taxing their people to death is destroying Philly.
Sounds pretty accurate to me.

If these Democrats had any real stones, they would make food stamps actual food stamps and ban them from being used to buy sodas, cookies, chips, ice cream, etc.

We are subsidizing unhealthy food so we can then subsidize healthcare for the problems caused by these unhealthy foods.

If you can't afford your own food and healthcare, you should only be supplied healthy food.

Thanks for the heads up on the Mexican Cokes. Didn't know about them. But been buying the Pepsi products with real sugar as of late. It's available everywhere now it seems.

That HFCS stuff is rough on the liver. And it's in almost everything that traditionally used sugar. From Catsup and BBQ sauce to maple syrup. Sorry to go OT, but consider it a PSA.
