I don't understand why Trump or any other American would have an issue with the One China policy.
It's absolutely NOTHING to Americans whether Taiwan is independent or not. Doesn't affect this nation either way. China wants hegemony over their region. We want hegemony over ours.
So, what's the problem?
Who says he does? He took a phone call to congratulate him, not official recognize Taiwan as the rightful rulers of China.
Its a socialist, Wall Street, globalist, leftist conspiracy I think.
That isn't even satire. A confidential business plan falls under the act to conspire. Pretty simple to cut a deal with China to manufacture more cheaply where they don't have to worry about pollution and to put domestic competition out of business. Large scale corporation with global reach have gamed the system. On top of this they get all the environmentalists working for them to drive their competitors costs up.
And I say this as someone who is quite happy that our environmental standards are quite high. I do not want to lower them. I do however expect our trading partners to follow suit. I actually care about the environment. I am not part of the environmental regulatory arbitrage scam. It seems my so called allies are eager to be mere pawns for a venal business interest . Environmentalist movements here pads their margins , meanwhile China creates the same products we consume at the rate of 1000% times the level of pollution.
Even at the personal level my foot print is an 8 year old cell phone and old out date machines running Linux. I have even seen to it I do not need to drive to work. I don't buy shrink wrapped pizza boxes. This is why I am in disgust of so called faux leftists , where in fact it is I who dutifully follow many elements of their platform while they do nothing of the kind.
He has done so much damage to global stability and he hasnt even taken office yet. One can only imagine the stink bombs he'll lay after the innauguration.
Or they could use nuclear weapons to remove several large cities, and see if they survive it better then we do.
Most likely though will be a naval engagement in their backyard where they can project power well. Probably a few missile attacks on critical us infrastructure.
I suspect that the US will win, but they will hurt us. Russia may pick their side as well, and engage us as well. Both of them combined will make for aa very painful war that we would probably still win.

China owns so much U.S. investments it could close some things down. I would expect that rather than war.
Yeah, the premise that China's political elite, who own many of their biggest businesses and have mistresses, power etc etc. are going to start a war with a nuclear power that is also their biggest customer....is indeed hilarious.
