Increased exports would push up the US dollar and lower the cost of imports entering the country.

That's never been done in our countries history.

Though it still has to pass and be signed by Trump.

Forbes Welcome
Well, we have to pay for the huge tax cuts to the wealthy somehow, if we aren't going to let the economy sink into a recession, like the last time we gave huge tax cuts to the wealthy.

Personally I am against huge tax cuts to the wealthy. I am also against the nickel and dime taxation that impacts the middle class. More than the above I am against the wasteful government spending. Like congress people leasing cars for $800 a month on the tax payers dime. 40 million dollar gas stations, the list is truly endless.

It's already happened.

90% of the stuff in our apartment is pupper stuff -- toys, training stuff, gear, treats, crate, bed, dog bedding, etc. This is really our dog's place.

As Canada is the largest trading partner of the US, it is my business....Our economy is tied to yours, so when Trump flushes your economy down the toilet we will feel the effects as well. People here cannot believe that you have elected a man with such a severe personality disorder as your leader....Not to mention the risk of him having his finger on the nuclear button.

Canada is not the only one concerned about this... https://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/11/o...-disaster.html

Americans will lose the protectionism war as we simply aren't as big of a share of the global economy.

I don't know how many people on this thread actually do the household shopping, so I'd like to offer some real life examples of how this is going to affect households.

Back to school clothes per child: $100.00. After the tax: $120.00

Back to school supplies per child: $ 50.00. After the tax: $60.00

Shoes $40.00 After the tax: $48.00

These costs vary according to where you shop. Still, that's $38.00 more.

In other words, if you take home $5000.00 per month, you're going to need close to $1000.00 per month just to run in place.

Oh yeah, I'm really going to run and buy all those "Made in America" products
