I could name a hundred just in TX. Even our Democrat run cities are forced to balance their budgets due to state laws.

9 out 10 of the poorest states vote Republican. Only New Mexico doesn't. Mississippi keeps voting Republican over and over again and then its citizens wonder why it's so poor. Definition of insanity.
Gotta love how the left denies that the major cities they run have turned into hellholes, and then point to the states. News flash for y'all - The cities are separate from the states. And without the Delta, Mississippi would not be the poorest state in the country.

Next time y'all want to point to our states, please actually try to fix your own cities first.

Are you suggesting that the governor's send in the state national Guard and evict all the city mayors and city councilmen?

You do know THEY run these cities, right?

Libs always want to deflect the issue to something totally out of context when they have NOTHING of value to add or want to ignore he subject and feel they MUST reply in some way.

Since you live in Florida , maybe you don't realize it but Florida cities are kept up better than many in CA
Things just seem to be managed better .
Even the "ghetto" areas look better than many in CA.
And they don't tolerate the homeless doing whatever they want either .

"the $$ flows form the top when it comes to poverty. etc"

STOP THE PRESSES a liberal admits that there is "trickle down".

"most of crime is due to poverty and lack of education"

Don't these city run schools have FREE education to ALL its children?

I thought the left LOVED public education and is AGAINST vouchers for parents to send their kids to "good" schools of their choice.

" and opportunity--" If you DON'T finish, at a minimum, high school you will NEVER find "opportunity"

If they didn't rob, riot, crash existing businesses, shoot each other, and NOT help the police when a crime is committed, business would NOT be run out of town.

What person in their right mind would risk their families livelihood in a area with such things going on as I described above?

THEY have driven the "opportunity" train out of town.

"a city school is mandated by fed -county...." to do what? Teach?

What "mandate" STOPS a teacher form teaching?

If the CAN'T teach, why should they be paid and kept on the job?

It's not merely an issue of a city being run by leadership from the Democratic Party. The fiscal liberal policies of the Democrats can be beneficial to urban poor (who can not survive by hunting game in the city or farming as the rural poor did in the 1800s as they moved "westward" in the USA.)

The fiscal liberalism is in some ways too fiscally conservative in cities like Chicago. As mayor of Chicago I would ensure that the homeless men and women and kids of Chicago have a higher material quality of living standard than that of the working lower middle-class of Milwaukee. The homeless shelters and tax payer funded housing programs will have to produce in design and function accomadations that rival Milwaukee's lower-end luxury apartment/condo/housing units.

Such as:

And like the Paper Box Lofts which is a mix housing community, lofts leased at market rate and other units subsidized by tax dollars for those that fall below a poverty threshold. But I believe in bringing this concept to the homeless even in design (beauty in part) and function to homeless shelters.

Another issue is that leadership among Democrats--as with Republicans--are rarely "radical." Rarely do they challenge the status quo of things. Except for sexual issues because humans are animals and although we are endowed with greater capabilities for reason and self mastery/discipline, we humans tend to be pulled by our lowest base instincts. So, it is easy as a leader to appeal to people in a city by appealing to their lowest base sexual desires.

But try appealing to them logically, and in promotion of charity, combined tax sacrifice, universal basic health (including shelter and dental as well as sense of security and safety) accomdations/services. Try convincing elitist Democrats that even the poor ought have a right to personal safety and government/police protection from violence and human predators. They scoff at the notion. But they will get their elitist panties in a bunch over some far away land they never visited nor plan to like Syria or the Ukraine. They also think violence is only a result of material poverty, and not moral poverty, therefore liberals attack Christian moral teachings and indirectly profess a holy belief in morally pulling yourself up by your own moral bootstrap even though your cultural environment as went to moral hell.

How would we know about any other party when they have all been run into the ground by Democrats? Forget the massive democratic malaise, corruption of one party rule, the crime etc , when you even look at so called wealthy cities in America they are pathetic to the nice cities in Asia and Europe .

In many of the nicer parts of Asia and Europe, very clean streets and amazingly clean and efficient mass transit, very low crime, etc. Even the rich cities like Manhattan San francisco DC and Seattle with insane rents the mass transit is usually awful and dirty, tent cities tons of homeless, many of them mentally ill and aggressive. Every time I went out in downtown seattle I had a homeless person approach and alot of the panhandling is aggressive

This is the most expensive city in America, san francisco and its terrible, this great new app that helps you avoid homeless peoples poop in san fran

Poop map shows scale of San Francisco's human tragedy
