The international fallout from D.T. is just starting--get used to this in massive doses. Mr. Trump will become create a bitter wall of negative feeling between the U.S. and many other countries around the world.
If you thought W was a laughing stock, the carnival is just beginning----it is showtime and the comedy is just beginning----any body who gets the popcorn concession is going to become wealthy.

23% of the people on here need to take a basic economics course. Good job to the 74% that knows the truth.

Yes, you may pay a little more for groceries, but you should have been paying a little more all along. Farmers will charge a little more. I'm fine with that. Farmers make a profit, migrant workers are not payed slave labor wages and people can still buy fruits and vegetables. If the cost of tomatoes and lettuce gets out of control due to greed, they can be imported from countries other than Mexico like they already are at reasonable costs.
Agree - and with free movement across the border many migrants would gladly leave families at home. Why oh why can't we simply implement sensible immigration reform that include measures like this?

Plus, certain geographical sections of the country and some job categories desperately need immigrant labor; other areas and industries not so much. Provide an extended path to citizenship (even a decade or more) that is predicated on willingness to locate and work only in selected areas and in certain jobs, not unlike the current H-1B concept where the visa is tied to employment. Then put tax money to work creating jobs that ensure the law IS followed instead of guards with guns at the border. The longer we struggle on with ineffectual measures, the longer illegal immigrants who do not contribute to the US economy remain and the harder it is to uproot and deport them.

This is Trump dealing at it's finest. Just like his Casinos. Uses other people's money to buy them. Siphons all the cash from them. Goes bankrupt and leaves the investors holding the debt and he gets the 887 billion tax write off.

The US people are investing in his wall with the promise of a payback. Only problem is the payback comes out of the people's pockets in higher prices paid for goods and services.

I'm still wondering how Bush convinced Congress to go to war and basically put it on a Credit Card? So debt increased by almost 10 trillion dollars give or take a TRILLION . This sounds to me like a "Trust me" we will get back a lot more than we will spend!

So now 2017.. Taxpayers may very well ballon that EVIL debt ceiling ++++ on the backs of taxpayers on the whim of a well documented predator deal maker. Only folks that lost in all of his bankruptcy's was the "Investors" Employee's which will be in THIS case the TAXPAYER now and their decedents later!

With that kind of historical facts.. I sure wouldn't wager one red cent!!

He's BULLYING everybody.

All these countries are going to suffer acutely whether they do what Trump wants or not. So, putting myself in their shoes, I'm thinking why give the Cheeto the satisfaction?

If they don't know how to handle a bully, they had better learn fast, for everybody's sake.

Trump throws out numbers as a negotiating tool.

He wants his opponents to be confused and not sure where he is coming from so he can gain the upper hand.

Like putting your car in the for sale ads wanting 5K, knowing you'd take much less.

Trump also uses these throw away numbers to 'guide' opponents to other possible solutions.

the simplistic interpretation of Trump's words is stunning.
I'd be willing to bet you didn't even realize how your own analogy doesn't work here.

Not unbelievable.

Take a look around the produce section of your local grocery store if you are confused about some of the things you purchase from Mexico.
