If it were a country, California’s $2.46 trillion economy would be the sixth biggest in the world behind the United Kingdom. The state represents 14% of the U.S. economy. Home prices in the state are up more than 70% from the lows of 2011, but they still have not returned to the go-go years of 2006-07. California’s outlook is bright with economic and job growth both expected to be strong over the next five years.

It also has the largest population in the nation which would mean that they'd also have more poor, and homeless.

If I were really rich, I would consider living in California.

Places like Hawaii and the Florida Keys would be higher on the list, but CA would be there.

It's a beautiful and dynamic state. But, that's it. For the most part, I just find the cost of living and owning a house just way out of line. Heck, Hollywood isn't even Hollywood anymore. More and more production sets are being filmed everywhere else and not in California anymore because of the high cost of permits and never ending regulations.

It's annoying when people move to a different place and refuse to adapt, regardless of where they are from. If I moved to Minnesota from Texas, I'd have to get used to unsweet tea, mediocre Mexican food, and cold winters. But I wouldn't keep saying how much better sweet tea is, how much better Mexican food in Texas is, and how much better the weather is in Texas. Nor would I try to get the state of Minnesota to become more like Texas.

Some Yankees are notorious for moving to NC, SC, or GA and complaining the entire time.

I moved to Texas from the Midwest, and guess what? I don't really like it here. But instead of being rude, I'm simply moving back to where I fit in better. Pretty simple...

Los Angeles is completely divided the libbies are totally out of touch there. They could care less about diversity, religion, or being a humanitarian. They profess to believe in such ideas just to try and make themselves look good and feel superior, and elite. It is different than NYC imo.

They certainly don't want any Mexicans or refugees hanging around Melrose Ave unless they can score a maid for 2 bucks an hour. They love slaves around there so they certainly won't discriminate in that category. Slaves of all colors are fine for the left coast libbies.

I get so tired of hearing these big states brag, of course big states have big economies, these states are enormous and are bigger than ost nations. Texas would be the 12th largest economy in the world by GDP (ahead of South Korea and Australia) Florida's economy is the 16th largest in the world, ..

That is such a bogus stat because these states are not sovereign countries and the companies headquartered there would face import taxes and probably relocate to the United states if these seates were sovereign nations.

The truth is California,Texas and Florida on their own would resemble third world countries and especially latin america with huge underclasses and enormous disparity of wealth and tons and tons of gated communities.

But do you have any clue how few people/corporations control all that economic power? Thus the huge wealth gap between rich and poor........

I feel sorry for the conservative decent citizens of California.

I don't even want to visit liberal delusional land.
