It will take more then a simple re-draft. They have to get away from making it about a religion. Remove the stuff about protecting religious minorities, and add in some countries that actually do export terrorists. Saudi for example.

Yes.

If Trump and Bannon are making the case that this is to keep terrorist from coming into our country, then they need to include nation's where the terrorist who come into our country actually come from. Will make for a stronger case next time they have to run it by a judge.

Plus, it would be helpful if they were going to ban a nation we were fighting a war with, if they included the Secretary of Defense in on the deliberations. Just a thought.

James Mattis seems to be one of the saner ones in this outfit.

Hard to believe that a man whose nickname is "Mad Dog" is actually the most level-headed one.

If he put say, North Korea on that list I sincerely doubt anyone from either side would have a problem with it, haha.

Good to see the courts wisely stood up to this amateur White House.

In the meantime the crazy man in the attic has done absolutely nothing to make us safe from the terrorists who have actually struck within the U.S. in recent years -- lone wolves and self-radicalized residents who were already living in the U.S.

The ludicrousness of this cavalry riding to the rescue while siting backwards on their horses and firing in the wrong direction would be hilarious if it weren't so terrifying.

Immigration and Nationally Act: "Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of ALL ALIENS".

It doesn't say the President has to get the O.K first from the 9th circuit court or the approval of a state A.G. . I didn't know the Constitution gives powers to the 9th circuit court to be in charge of our national security or re-write new law.

Trump isn't writing new law, that Act is in the books.

if you don't like the act change the law in congress.......its like our immigration laws, Congress passes the laws and democrats refuse to enforce the laws.......clueless and madness!

The radical Islamic terrorists have won, just because they represent a religion. We can no longer control who comes into this country without a globalist judge saying no. Say goodbye to our culture and safety.

one more time liberals here is the act:

Immigration and Nationally Act: "Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of ALL ALIENS".

what law is Trump violating? those powers are giving to the President at his discretion for the security of our country.........if you don't want the President to have those powers then have Congress to change the act.

Currently, they are vetted by the US government over an approximate 2 year period. You're implying that we were just letting them in willy nilly and that's just not true.
Your faction, with Trump as your mouthpiece, are just spreading fear throughout the nation, in an attempt to take authoritarian control over the country.

That's what's really going on.
