I have participated in Gallup polls for several years now, some are political, and some are not. I do trust them, but with any poll it just depends on the sample size where those people live. If the majority of people in the poll are from the South or Midwest, it'll likely skew right... and if they're from the Northeast or West Coast it'll likely skew left.
