The people running and in office lately tend to be an extreme version of what their constituents really are. That's why so many have left.
Anyway, I don't think you can compromise on abortion bc if a person truly believes it's murder, how do you compromise on that?
As it stands, women have the choice whether or not to have an abortion. I personally do not believe abortion is right, so I won't have one.However, that decision is between each woman and God. God will deal with the situation as He sees fit.
So there is no compromise to be had. It simply is not your place to try and play God. The quicker Republicans grasp that and realize that protesting a woman's choice doesn't get them a free pass into heaven, the better.
We already have compromise, it's called C-H-O-I-C-E. Those who believe in it can choose it, those who don't can reject it. And I very much doubt it's split right down party lines as you seem to believe.

I am speaking as a Libertarian about Republicans. Republicans are not very open on issues such as these, which is why I am not one. They want big government in your personal life, usually due to their religious convictions. They don't truly support the First Amendment.

I believe you're wrong. I and most Republicans I know are for the freedom to choose. We may not be for Abortions but realize they're going to happen whether they are legal or not.
I'd also like to see free Birth Control centers in every Middle and High school.
