Those people at the rally already support him and his agenda. He wasn't really "out of his bubble".
Plus, I expect he gets a lot more adoration in Mar-a-Lago than he gets at the WH.
The WH staff isn't a bunch of foreigners on a work visa or Republicans who paid $200K for the privilege of catching a glimpse of the great and powerful Oz.
The WH staff is likely more reserved, more difficult to impress, less likely to clap and cheer every time he enters a room.
The media appears to be on an incessant campaign to destabilize and slander Trump. Once again a 'source' inside the White House comes up with some non issue that the media runs away with.
Of course there's possibly going to be an adjustment period going from one lifestyle to another, and that takes time to get used to. Why's that so newsworthy?
No, not the same. My prediction is Trump will become a punchline for decades to come, along with Trump supporters.
Trump needed a rally only four weeks in because the White House doesn't give him the adoring crowds he has become addicted to. As the novelty wears off and those crowds slowly decrease over time, he's going to grow more miserable, but that's due to happen anyway when Appalachia realizes coal isn't coming back among many other stark realities that his supporters will come to face.
You absolutely nail it.
Trump is desperate for approval, he yearns for respect and all he can manage is to get the great unwashed to cheer his hate filled rants. When what he really wants is East coast old money to finally respect him, to finally embrace him....
What Trump fails to grasp is that conning and lying your way into the white house only makes them despise him more. Trump will never really win that one prize that has alluded him all his life.
He will have to make do with the cheers of the every people his has spent his life ripping off...
I wish the media would stop covering trivial stuff like this. When serious things happen people aren't pauong attention.
