Money and politics... Eh, I know conservatives and Leftists alike who like to mock/look down on others who are successful and act like anyone who's "made it" was born with a golden spoon or had some sort of advantage over someone else...

It's subjective on how one bases wealth/success...

I look at it like this... You were born with two eyes two ears one mouth. If you pay attention and ask questions you will learn anything you want to do. Be observant. Pay attention. You can master anything you set your mind to.
That's one factor.

It's not some gift that only certain people are born with... Anyone can do anything. It's all in your head on how far you are willing to go to achieve your dreams.

Like the navy seal and USMC creed-it's 98% mental 2% physical. That's how I view work despite having a messed up back and shoulder I still ignore the pain and carry on. For nobody will give me what I want in life. When the doctors said they wanted to put a steel rod in my back and put me on disability I told them to go F themselves no way. When I dislocated my shoulder which tore the rotator cuff they wanted to perform surgery with a 50/50 success rate. Nope. Give me a cortisone shot I'll live with it. Then there are those who have no threshold for pain what so ever and act as if a stubbed toe=broken foot.
That's one factor.

Jealousy/envy is a major factor.

Set standards, priorities, and goals for yourself and you can achieve anything you put your mind to. If you believe in socialism/communism/hand outs I view you as weak or an enabler of poor choices. If you have to hide behind any card I truly pitty you. I know "minorities" however politically correct that statement is, that make 6 figures a year. They didn't get it by welfare, they didn't get it through crime, they didn't get it from a hand out. They applied themselves and ignored prejudices and strived for better. I believe that's how everyone should be. Not stomping feet and hiding behind some religion, race, sex, or sexual orientation. I have no empathy. Sorry, not sorry. You want to hold yourself back, by all means do so but don't cry foul because you wasted valuable time on a social issue, instead of work flow. That's what I admire about the armed forces and police, everyone is equal. The only color that matters is the uniform. I have a very diverse group of friends in NY. They didn't get to make 100k plus a year by crying woe is me... And it could be hard to believe those that had the odds stacked against them rose to be successful individuals. For some reason when I mention that, those that lean heavily left claim false. When you use what you grew up as an example and have an epiphany you tend to use your surroundings as an example and want better and strive for better.

Me, I don't adhere to norms/fads. I also don't take getting peed on and told it's rain. I don't view credit scores and credit cards as a way of life or a necessity either. When a problem or challenge arises, I seek solutions. Not excuses. Part of the reason I am starting my own business. I do not take "No" for an answer and have no patience for politics (not dem vs republicans) in the work place.

Am I Cocky? To most yes. I know what I bring to the table and have used it as leverage against my employers and I do speak of my accomplishments (some say I'm a legend in my own mind but they usually need some pandering or a trophy/award to feel better, validation) I view my paycheck as an award, my accomplishments for feeling better/validation, and what I dispose my income on as trophies.

I always wondered why left leaning/dems/liberals always believed in what's "fair" instead of what's morally correct and the hypocrisy that comes from that side of the fence...

What I don't get is how the liberal elite say shame on anyone who doesn't agree with this "social issue" use refugees and immigrants for example...
Ok. The liberal elite want to shame anyone who doesn't agree with globalism/open boarders/socialist health care systems...
Yet... They live in 5k square foot plus mansions with I don't know how many spare bedrooms... They call anyone racist... Yet... They live in Gated communities, predominantly white... With security patrols. And...
And do not house one refugee or one migrant worker strange how that works... I would think all of the bleeding hearts would be in Compton, Chicago, Detroit, not Hollywood/Beverly Hills or some fancy HOA.

I lack empathy. If you pull your own weight and only tend to your self and your families needs... Why should welfare exist? Who's fault is it that you don't pay attention to job market trends? Who's fault is it if you lack any useful marketable skills? I don't want to hear "college is too expensive" please. I went to 13th grade/community college. Paid for it with cash... Learned trades by seeking them out and showing a will to learn Prior to college.

I could go on about my generation... Full of wimpy, highly offended, basement dwelling, video game playing, victims... They really amuse me.

No wonder why a lot of the closest friends I had made were all older...

*SIGH*

I've just gotta laugh at someone that thinks that lacking empathy is brag worthy.

"i would think all of the bleeding hearts would be in Compton, Chicago, Detroit...." SMH...nonsensical.

You so called "rugged individualist" types crack me up. I can look right through the veneer and see that it's all smoke and mirrors.

What is the lefts logic for the class warfare against wealthy people?

What is the rights logic for the class warfare against wealthy people?
I am relatively wealthy, I pay lower taxes now than ever before and it is set to get even lower. The system is grossly unfair the more I make the less I seem to pay. Meanwhile others struggle under a regressive tax system that intentionally burdens the lower middle class down.....

If you doubt me just actually learn something about the us tax system. It requires blinkers to reach almost any other conclusion. Our system is loaded with freebies for those with money. Loop holes and "planning" that only work if you have lots of money in the first place..

Why get a risky surgery that will lead to excessive down time? The only time my shoulder ever acts up is torquing 6.0/6.4 head bolts or plucking rear diffs out of 350s with aft axle fuel tanks. It has an audible click when reaching up over my head still have full range of motion. Just burns doing certain things. Doesn't slow me down one bit.

Back I get waves of pain comparable to getting hit across my back with a baseball bat from excessive bending or lifting something hefty from the ground up even when proper footing and lifting with legs and arms... I refuse to be put on disability. I don't take pain killers. They're just spasms. Throw some heat and a tens unit on and crank it up. Good to go. L2/L3 herniated 2 times was stuck in a slightly bent forward stance and walked around like I had a loaded diaper hurt like all get out. First time brought tears to my eyes. Both times went to the chiropractor and was fixed good as new and returned to work later that day.

None of you are wealthy, so why are you trying so hard to be an advocate for the rich? Trust me, they can afford their own advocates and they damn sure aren't paying you for your advocacy. Some of you don't know what team you're on. The rich have a pretty damn good team and a great union, and NONE OF YOU belong to either group.

Don't worry about trying to protect the wealthy's piece of the pie. They're doing just fine. They don't need you out here fighting to protect their interests. Worry about how to get a bigger piece of that pie for yourself.

And you aren't going to get it by fighting like hell to protect the rich.
Wish I could rep you a thousand more times on this post! None of us belong to the 0.1%. And I also can't figure out why the people who are not in that club advocate for them.

Mostly, their just being phony. They don't really care about the wealthy.

Rush and Hannity tells them to say this stuff, so they have to pretend as if they believe it so that they don't fall outta step with their conservative colleagues.

In truth, these conservatives rail against the rich just like everyone else.
