After making the extreme move last year to cancel the NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte, North Carolina, over the state’s HB2 bathroom law, the NBA is now looking seriously at canceling events in the State of Texas should the Lone Star State continue down the legislative path of instituting a similar bathroom law. North Carolina’s HB2 Law mandates that people using bathrooms on state property use only those facilities that correspond to their birth sex.
Texas must be the target because the NFL has made note of us as well.
Say what you want - I don't want to take away anyone's rights, but I am not agreeing with putting women at risk by putting them in the same restroom as men. The only concession I would make, is to make the sex correspond to their driver's license or voting registration instead of birth sex. They need to claim one or the other. None of this back and forth nonsense.
Sports is supposed to be an escape and entertainment. Now not only are they bringing politics into the arena - they are bullies about it. You want to share what you believe - fine. But the threats? Good luck with that.

Meanwhile, ticket prices for the All-Star Game are plunging since the game was switched from North Carolina to New Orleans. Some are pegging that decline to the change in venue.
I watch a good deal of NBA basketball .. but skipped the whole All-Star weekend on TV purposely because they relocated out of Charlotte. Houston Rocket won the three point shootout - would have loved to seen it, but if they want to play politics at this level, so can all of us who pay their salaries.

States should cut the obsession with social divisive legislation and simply work to create JOBS. Conservatives can't get their heads out of slime and grime.
There have been no reported incidents of a trans person attacking a woman in a bathroom.

Allow private businesses to determine their own bathroom policies.

And let's be real, most people like to go to the bathroom to do their business and get out. If someone hypothetically wanted to attack women in bathrooms, a little sign with a woman isn't going to stop them from going in.
