To illustrate your point that Asians are underrepresented you post a story about an Asian female newscaster?

Why are you not willing to listen to what Julie Chen, an Asian woman, has to say about having to conform to be successful in her field?

I did, yet the fact remains that Asian women are ridiculously over not underrepresented as TV news journalists and have been for quite a while.

That 'model minority' concept is an overstated myth.

We've become a polarized nation where every group seems to be out for their own these days.

I'd say more people view asians as foreigners never to be trusted and never to be considered as 'real' Americans rather than some mythical concept that they 'ideal minorities.' Hence they are always left out of the national discussion on things like race relations.

The article ignores that the facts - the actual data shows the opposite of their speculation. When Affirmative Action ended the white (and Asian) numbers went up the immediate following years.

Answer this, if giving all races except Asians and whites a free 20 points on an admissions scale where 12 points equals a perfect SAT score...actually helps whites as the article suggests....then why not give all races except Asians and blacks a free 20 points on the admissions scale -- wouldn't that help blacks too?

P.S. My personal experience is that Asians take as many extracurricular activities as other races, perhaps more on average. It is just an excuse to take positions away from one group and give to another since academics is to be avoided in such a scenario.

Asians know that they are being discriminated against and need to work harder to get into not just the elite private schools, but the great public schools. They do extracurricular activities in large quantities to not have this used as an excuse.
All the top UCs have large Asian population because it's not allowed to practice affirmative action, well not too obvious practice.

She is an unattractive Asian before surgery, not because she is too Asian. She is in the business that looks are important. Connie Chung is not too Asian because she is attractive. Maybe we can stop blaming everything on race.

You're still not answering the question..why don't the Democrats discuss them then if they have all of these issues? Obama didn't mention any of this once in 8 years.

Like myself and others said they don't care because they're such a small group and historically they were more middle of the road politically, e.g., a fair share of them voted for Bush and so on.

They only voted against Trump so heavily because they were fear mongered into thinking Trump was going to block immigrants from the Philippines and China and so on. Now I hope they realize they were lied to and their vote for Hillary was a waste.
