In a country as enamored with firearms as the US, it seems quite worthwhile to do some research on the aftereffects and how best to counter them, but... Trumpers are gonna Trump.

Don't you think the effects of lead poisoning is an important study? The CDC has been studying the effects of lead poisoning for many years. There are still over 4,000,000 households with young children being exposed to high levels of lead, according to the CDC.

All this study proves is that our bullets need to be made more lethal, so if you do get shot you just die rather than drain the healthcare system with surgeries, physical therapy and now lead poisoning.

I have given the lead pill with 100% success and don't understand the high failure rate.

This is assuming that everyone who gets shot is a criminal... I have several relatives who have been shot (All in Nigeria), and all of them have been shot by criminals and all of them were the victims when they were shot. This just to give you an example, that you should be careful with your words.

the thing is though, we know the effects of lead poisoning, how to diagnose it, and how to treat it, and we have known this for several decades now. so why is the CDC still studying it now?

Apparently the folks on the right are not big supporters of police like the folks on the left.

Seriously, when cops get shot it was not uncommon for fragments to be left behind. Now thanks to the efforts of the CDC we know that is a mistake, and many police officers may be saved from lasting harm.

And that folks is how conservatives all too often frame things. Kind fun doing it the other way, but a little dishonest.
