Last I checked this is a democracy.

The people have a right to review and appraise the performance of their elected officials.

I doubt anything will happen in the next few years to force out Mr Trump from office, but if it were to happen that could only be because of some serious malfeasance.

In any case, Mr Pence would replace him and everything would go on. Like his political positions or not, Mr Pence is not generally involved in the behind the scenes activity that is under scrutiny.

The country is not coming apart.
Last you checked, you are wrong. This is not a democracy, it is a Constitutional Republic. For the love of sanity people, please get it right!

It is the result of psychological pain. Liberals have not yet reached the acceptance stage of grief.

It may be some time before that happens.

I am getting so tired when every time Trump puts his foot in his mouth its because of Hillary this and Obama that. They did not give birth to Trump, they did not raise Trump, they did not educate Trump. Trump is Trump and his achievements and short comings are his alone. Trying to deflect and defend those short comings by blaming someone else is its own brand of ignorance and malice.

I'd say both parties have contributed to the rise of a nationalistic adherence to the notion of American exceptionalism. Trump is simply redefining the parameters of an old nationalistic streak long buried in the advent of modern day trading treaties, all while taking advantage of an emerging class conflict.

"Conservatives," and "liberals," as terms used to describe old political boundaries, have also been hammered by the modern day media into far different meanings. Both parties in America have long been attached to the corporate/state construct that rules as real power. Corporations being the beneficiary, with the state acting as their facilitator. Those hoping for some aspect of democracy to appear as a result of party politics need to read some US history.

Unhinged crybabies can't handle the fact that not everyone is willing to overlook constant lying, ignore outright treason, and bow down before Chairman Trump to worship him like he's a god instead of just a classless lying con man with money.

The Republican Congress made it their goal to obstruct Obama. Trump is a chronic liar and a birther and made a living screwing people out of money and hiring illegal immigrants. I have zero sympathy for anyone of them.

Why are idiots still talking about Hillary? No one cares. All we care about is Trump and what he and his cronies do.

Just because you keep repeating the same thing won't make it true.

What we have all known all along, that Trump is incompetent. He tried to use back channels to negotiate with the Russians about who knows what during and after the election. Resetting our relationship with Russia is not a bad thing, but Trump's method of doing it only served to alarm the military, the Reagan-right, and the intelligence community. Why would he do it that way? He is an amateur and has no clue about how to work with people rather than ramming something down their throats. At any rate, at least some members of the Trump team were likely guilty of violating the Logan Act.
