Now, I rather agree with the article. If the House were to begin the impeachment process (recall that it begins in the House, then, if articles of impeachment are passed, moves to the Senate for the trial), then the legislative process would virtually end, and bills would stop moving. It does not 'have' to be that way, but I seem to recall that during the Summer of Nixon (1974) the House business came close to a stand-still.

As such, I could see where the Republicans would want to get their bills passed in the next month or two (if they actually come up with some) so Trump could sign them into law.

OF course, Mr. Pence, if elevated to President, would be more than happy to sign into law many of the Republican's contemplated laws (repealing Obamacare, etc.). Yet, that could not happen until the messy impeachment process is ended and Trump is gone.

The problem they face: if the House decided to move on impeachment, I do not see Mr. Trump going quietly into that good night. He is a fighter. Nixon was too, but he finally saw that he was going to lose in any impeachment trial (for the Republicans were deserting him like rats from a ship) and so he resigned.

As such, any impeachment process would be dragged out by Mr. Trump. Business would stop. And the mid-terms would quickly begin to become a factor.

So, in summary, the author felt that we will see action, if action there be, after some of the more pressing bills are signed into law by Mr. Trump. Once that happens, the Republicans may don their 'we are outraged' armor, and start the process.
Yep if you think about it, Trump is not a true Republican. Trump wants to work for the people, the way government is supposed to be but isn't so both Democrat and Republicans are hell bent on getting him out. Trump threatens both D and R's gravy train.

Now, the understanding why the Democrats wanted our rifles so much. They are not scared of up close and personal handguns. The democrats fear that rifle, that can reach out and touch those corrupt tyrants, when they least expect it.
There's not gonna be 100 million snipers. If you're trying to go off the amount of people that voted for Trump. You're out of your mind. A lot of people that voted for Trump. Would happily deal with pence as president.

Thinking that most Trump supporters are militia men is showing how out out of touch you are with reality.

If they succeed in removing him........ I will never cast a vote again for any candidate of any party in this rotten system.
And how will never voting again improve this mess?

That appears to be it! There is no reason for Trump to be forced out other than those that supported globalism are determined to take over our country and using people who aren't bright enough to figure out what is going on for their cause. I am sure I don't have to be specific about who those people are.

I don't think they will force him out. The majority of Americans want what is best for America and they are starting to see through what is behind this with Obama and his shadow government.

The election was about nationalism vs. globalism. If more people understood or can be made to understand that, people will come around.

Putin meddles in the affairs of other nations to create internal problems so they won't be in a position to deter him as he moves to reassemble the old Soviet Union.

While Trump looks like good news for Putin's plans, he's an unstable asset, embarrassingly cooperative, with a team of bumbling co-conspirators that make the Watergate burglars look like geniuses.

Carter Page is set to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee and was just interviewed on several news shows.

J.D. Gorden is spilling the beans.

JD Gordon, Trump adviser, changes story about GOP Ukraine shift - Business Insider

Even Ivanka's husband is recalling the hush-hush meetings he'd had with the Sergey Kislyak.

The increasing meeting revelations are raising suspicions. America is more focused on the Trump-Russian connections than ever.

Putin’s goal is the likely just the opposite.

So what now?

It will likely be months before all the investigations get underway. Who knows when Comey will be willing to answer questions? Putin's name will be hauled out every time and rarely in a good light.

Mike "I know nothing about nothing" Pence is positioning himself to step in as president.

However, if the Russians have something on Pence, think of how more destabilizing it would be to reveal it just about the time he's ready to place his hand on that Bible?

It's all very John le Carré.

Let's hope Trump and Bannon have a better plan to get themselves out of this pickle than tweeting photos from over a decade ago of Schumer and Putin at a gas station eating Krispy Kremes.

Donald Trump is a stupid man's idea of a smart man, a poor man's idea of a rich man and a weak man's idea of a strong man.

Suppose I agree that Hillary also sucks and should be locked in a dungeon. Then what? Are you capable of having a rational conversation about Trump's flaws, or are we at a standstill because I took away your signature move?
I totally understand what you're saying. And I can only speak for myself here, but what when I hear the "Hillary is bad too" mantra (which I agree with I have to admit), what I think most are feeling is that is the democrats had run anyone, virtually anyone who was reasonably viable, other than HRC, they would have won this election by 25 points....or more.

The only reason Trump won, is that the democrats managed to present voters with a candidate who is just as bad as Trump, just bad in very different ways. As a voter, I looked at both of them and wanted to shake my head in disgust and then throw up!

We can only hope that either Trump does wondrous things these next 4 years, or both political parties present us with better quality candidates next time.

The left is angry, and I get that, and I even understand why. They keep claiming the Russians put Trump in office. Even if the Russians were behind the damaging email leaks, the democrats and HRC had to give them some damning information to work with before anything could happen, and of course when you're dealing with politics these days, damaging evidence isn't hard to find no matter where you look....shame on us.

The issue the left faces now is that with their constant barrage of attention to Trumps "issues" (of which there are many), they keep him on the nightly news ever single night with a barrage of negative things. They risk most of us just tuning it all out. Without even thinking about what I'm sayin here, just last night I was about to cue up the ABC evening news on the Tivo....and I told my wife, I'm not sure I even want to watch the national news anymore. It's so depressing and all you see is a diatribe against Trump and his cabinet for one thing or another. Many justified I'm sure, but none the less, I'm suffering from negative news overload. Each negative story means even less to me than the last one did....and eventually, I may just literally tune it out all together. Probably half of the criticism of Trump is justified and newsworthy....and the other half is nothing more than bitter democrats who are pissed that they lost the election.
