Are they actual tax cuts or just reversal of a tax hike?

Are you a typical Lefty who thinks you should shut down differences of opinion? I would assume so by this post.

Do you know how to report offensive posts?

Seriously, how much "documentation" do you want? Do your own work. Take your pick from analyses by S&P, Forbes, Brookings, the AMA, the American Hospital Assoc., and a dozen or so health providers or advocates. They all agree that TrumpCare is going to cost older, poorer Americans thousands of dollars and put somewhere between 10 and 25 million Americans off of their currently held coverage. Other than Tom Price and Ryan say so, I have yet to see "documentation' otherwise.

This would be great if the dummy middle class and poor people that voted for Republicans would understand finally and rebel. They will continue to vote because of stupid issues like abortion, guns, and the warm fuzzy feeling you get from feeling like your a member of the elite and better than brown people. They don't see themselves as proud members of the Middle class but temporarily embarrassed millionaires.

They don't want to do healthcare. Primarily because they spent 7 years using it as a fundraiser without actually putting a policy together. Secondary, they don't want to waste an entire session of Congress designing a system that actually makes everyday American lives better. There's so many other pet projects Ryan and McConnell want to do.

The Republicans never really specified what was so bad about the ACA but clearly it was the fact that it's largely subsidized by taxing the rich, which of course is the greatest crime that you can commit if you're a member of the GOP.

A neoliberal plan through and through. The few winning stay winning, while the rest losing absorb any bs narrative to justify their socially curated misery. After all, there must be something wrong with you if you lack health care. Isn't it obvious you should have it, you iPhone, refrigerator having Jesus-loving person who just doesn't want it?

It's as if the Republican platform really has adopted to internet terminology. They seem quite fond of "kys" at least in the arena of public policy.

Republicans do not believe in safety nets. There would not be Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid if it were not for the Democrats. The Republicans own the entire government given over to them by voters who also don't want these "social" programs or do not need them. Those who voted for Republicans were voting for not only the dismantling of the ACA but Medicare and Social Security which just like the ACA is imploding and must be "fixed". If you voted Republican and believe you were not voting for this then educational degrees or not you are part of the GOP"S beloved"poorly educated".

Two of the biggest tax cuts in Republican proposals to repeal the Affordable Care Act would deliver roughly $157 billion over the coming decade to those with incomes of $1 million or more, according to a congressional analysis.
The assessment was made by the Joint Committee on Taxation, a nonpartisan panel that provides research on tax issues.

It is not unusual for tax cuts to benefit mostly the wealthiest, but still save some money for a majority of Americans. But the benefits of these reductions would be aimed squarely at the top.

People making $200,000 to $999,999 a year would also get sizable tax cuts. In total, the two provisions would cut taxes by about $274 billion during the coming decade, virtually all of it for people making at least $200,000, according to a separate assessment by the committee.
“Repeal-and-replace is a gigantic transfer of wealth from the lowest-income Americans to the highest-income Americas,†said Edward D. Kleinbard, a professor at the University of Southern California law school and former chief of staff for the Joint Committee on Taxation.
Wealthy Would Get Billions in Tax Cuts Under Obamacare Repeal Plan
So, the plan is for the federal government to write a check for $274 billion out to "cash" and the those making over $200,000 figure out how to split it up?

Do you understand the word "details"?

Not surprising how another liberal wants to silence debate.

It is not Trumpcare unless he signs it. Until then, let's call it what it is... Ryancare.

“It is a 275 billion dollar tax break for the top 2 percent,” Sanders told CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “Millionaires will get about 50 thousand dollars a year in tax breaks while some 5 to 10 million are going to lose their health insurance. Premiums are going to soar.”"

Truly-deserving, responsible, people who fall seriously ill through no fault of their own are seldom denied access to quality medical care, and this has been the case for quite some time; It is the idiot who eats like a pig and aggravates things by heavy smoking, drug use, and other traits of an irresponsible mode of living who usually "falls through the cracks" -- the whines loud and long for a place at the head of the waiting line (s)he helped to create.

A close friend of mine is a "patient services co-ordinator/ombuds(wo)man" for an oncology practice -- spends most of her time seeking financial help for cancer patients seeking access to drugs under development -- which can carry a price tag of thousands of dollars (Lefties, please save your egalitarian rants about that until you've read the full post).

Since incomes can vary substantially from year to year in the "new" economy, she's often able to find something once a a patient's income "stabilizes" at new lower levels. But since two-career couples are also becoming more common, the family can still be hit hard -- especially if it's the "trailing spouse" who's stricken -- and that can be even more of a burden if there's a dependent child or two in college.

As is too often the case, it's the person trying to get somewhere, as opposed to the person who already has, who shoulders most of the burden.

Unfortunately, I can't think of a single successful nation that lacks a safety net to the degree that most Republicans want.

The only countries at all that lack a safety net are impoverished sub-Saharan African nations, the poorest Central American countries like Honduras and El Salvador, Haiti, etc.

In other words, countries featured on those heartstring-tugging charity commercials where you can provide a child with safe drinking water for $0.60/day.

True. They go to the hospital and then have to file bankruptcy or be hounded by debt collectors for the rest of their lives.
