It's a concept that derives from an extreme form of Marxism that would hold that not only are all humans exactly equal and the same, but that humans and animals are interchangeable in value.

You can see the ridiculousness of the mainstream Marxist theory in how it quickly devolves into parody. Following the trend, humans and carrots will next to be held to be equal in value.

In fact, I can direct you to prominent pseudo-spiritual liberal writing that makes such inferences. The writing of Ken Wilbur, for instance...

That being said, I agree with a measure of animal welfare.

Though, it obviously has to be balanced with human needs and the requirement to keep fast breeding animal populations down.

I'm ...not even kidding. He beats animals all the time...because he doesn't own a dog.

This is an actual quote at the girl in the blue shirt at around 2:00 in....

"He's the first President in 145 years to not have a dog companion... Human rights are animal rights because humans are animals. So if you fight for human rights, but don't fight for animal rights, then you're being a speciesist...and that's just a fact of the matter"

Guys...you are making us liberals look INSANE!
Just don't claim them. Most liberals aren't on board with this. These are just kooks trying to get some attention for their cause, latching onto something that will get them on the news. Trump protests sell, especially in California.

to eb fair, she did say the first president in 145 years to not have a dog, however i think that is off a bit as the last president to not have a dog was william mckinley.

i will say however that our presidents have had some interesting animals as pets though,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United...sidential_pets

snakes, badgers, opossums, horses, goats, chickens, roosters, kittens, various rodents, cows, various birds,, heck thomas jefferson had two bear cubs, and john quincy adams had an alligator, and martin van buren had two tiger cubs before congress forced him to donate them to the zoo.

the only president that didnt have a pet was andrew johnson, but he did feed white mice he found in his bedroom.
