According to a new poll released today, a majority of American voters oppose the Republicans' plan to repeal and replace ObamaCare, while very few voters support it.

"A poll published Thursday by Quinnipiac University found that 56 percent of voters disapprove of the GOP healthcare plan, while just 17 percent support it. Even among Republicans, only 41 percent support the American Health Care Act, while 24 percent oppose it."

The poll also found that 46% of voters say they will be less likely to vote for their Congressional representative if they vote to approve the Republican health plan. If this POS gets passed and goes into effect, I would expect that number to climb substantially.

Why is the GOP rushing to push through legislation that virtually no one wants, on either side of the aisle?

I understand wanting to to a complete change in three phases... but at no time should we be worse off than the original bad legislation - because there are no guarantees that any other phase will be passed - and I don't trust the swamp on the right.

From what I have heard - the proposed legislation kicks out some of the planks of PPACA, but enough to cause chaos if left in place with no other phases passed.

That is complete BS. More progressive propaganda.

People want it repealed, the objections by some are due to Ryancare which is just another progressive plan.

Because Trump wants a win and he's bullying people and giving them deals to pass it. It is another self-centered act by the idiot in chief, who does not even know what is in the bill. He really doesn't care who it helps or doesn't help, as long as it looks good for him.

So I am hoping it will pass as it will ensure that Trump is a one-termer. His voters and small business will be hurt a lot. So they will either not vote for him again or they'll be dead, due to having had no health insurance or health care. Sad!

Centrists balk at GOP ObamaCare bill

"GOP centrists in the House are fleeing from their party’s ObamaCare repeal-and-replace legislation, complicating White House efforts to win passage in a vote scheduled for Thursday."

Centrists balk at GOP ObamaCare bill | TheHill

The defections follow Trump's promise to eliminate the "essential health benefits" in the ACA, which outlined coverage that the insurers are required to provide, a move designed to bring in the far right Conservative vote, but it has caused many moderate Republicans to jump ship.

The PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) stressed patient protection. The GOP POS is about making sure nothing that benefits the patient remains.

The poll shows Americans are not idiots but not realists either. Americans want quality healthcare at an affordable (unrealistic) price. TrumpCare goes in the opposite direction on both. There is no solution that delivers what most people want other than a euro-style UHC plan.
