Trump is moving along just fine.
What has he accomplished that has worked?

He is not quitting. He's negotiating. If they don't pass it they will be left with Obamacare and saddle the GOP with a Yuge slap in the face. He knows exactly what he's doing. He is walking away from the table. Any good poker player knows when to do that.

The reality is that if you want to provide insurance to people with preexisting conditions, you need a mandate to prevent people from only buying insurance when they get sick. If there are only sick people in the pool, it drives up premiums. As premiums rise, some more people drop out and the premiums rise again.

The only way to stabilize the prices is to have a pool of sick and healthy people and that's what the mandate accomplishes.
The mandate is dead also. That's what you didn't address.

And somehow, according to the cult members here, it's all the Democrats' fault that the GOP spent years holding symbolic votes but not actually having any ideas, and it's the fault of Democrats that Trump didn't grasp basic facts and lied to his voters.
Can't rep you any more but this is funny because it's so true.

You know what's also complicated? Governing.

Again. Where is his plan? He campaigned on it. He endorsed Ryan's plan. Pitched it. Then modified to try to buy votes. Sorry he cannot distance himself from this. At least not to the unobtrusive.

The mandate is only dead if the GOP passes something else. Right now, the mandate is live and well.

The penalty premiums in the Pub bill were a good approach. They need to be much higher than 30% and much longer than a year though if they are to discourage people from just waiting until they are sick. Obamacare has open enrollment periods and you can't just sign up anytime. The problem though is that losing your job because you got hurt or sick is a qualifying event that let you buy in.

NOW... they scream at the Republicans who are trying to fix the disaster, openly, the right way; and they are showing how moronic they truly are.

I say fk the ACA, let it go as is and let the Dems hang themselves on it.

It'll screw millions upon millions, and it won't be the Republicans fault.

I believe Trump is following this course. He is done with it and moving on to taxes. He is the smartest man in the room no matter what the Einstein class wish to believe.
